CHICAGO (WLS) -- Red Robin Burger Works is closing all of its Chicago fast casual locations, according to Crains Chicago Business.
Crains reports that the fast food changed closed all of its fast casual restaurants over the weekend, including two locations that were only open for six months.
Crains said the original "sit down" Red Robins restaurants, which are scattered across the suburbs, will stay open.

One would presume they aren’t doing enough business. I’ve never been to one.

"Red Robin Burgers suck anyway. theyre overpriced and Super dry"
They didn't used to be.
Just a couple of years ago, you could have them cooked any way you like.
Now you can only order "pink" or "no pink".
Ordering "pink"= well-done anywhere else.
I'd be scared to try the "no pink" option.
Probably comes dessicated.

The burgers are pedestrian. Overpriced for what you get.I do agree. You'd expect a BURGER place to do a burger right. Our's were overdone and dry. Never go back.

They use preformed patties (that's why they are as perfectly shaped as a school cafeteria burger). Go to Five Guys, a Mom'n'Pop casual dining place, or even a cheap Steak'n'Shake, and they use something a bit more real.
RR will not cook your burger rare. That tells you something.
Now, in their defense, they put LOTS of stuff on TOP of the burger. AND, endless fries. If endless fries are your thing, it's a reasonable choice. Carbs are frenemies of mine, so I do better to avoid trying to get my money's worth at Red Robin.

I went to a Red Robin in Warrenville. I think the food was great, at a good price. I don’t remember seeing a Red Robin in Chicago.
