Ok I drive 25 plus per year so at 3 dollars a gallon at 25mpg it is 3000 per year. Each additional dollar it goes up is an extra 1000 dollars per year. So if costs go up two dollars that is a fuel cost of 5000 per year.

It isn't close to $3 a gallon now. You're probably getting more than 25 miles per gallon. And if you really drive 25,000 miles a year I'm guessing the majority of them are a business expense. Stop whining and pay attention to all those politicians who live in a significantly bigger house than you do (and usually own two or three).
