I haven't watched baseball since Curt Flood. I am watching tonight. I was a diehard Dodgers fan when they Drysdale and Koufax. Are they not using wood bats anymore ? The bats have strange color and make a different sound than what I used to hear. When did they start wearing their pants that droop over their shoes?
Thank you, Arlis.
That’s what I needed to know to understand why some are so fascinated.
Woo hoo ! Started with a double play, ended with a double play.
Hate those baggy pants! They look like jogging pants.
My brother always complained that the Cubs were Dodger killers. So I had a good feeling they might pull it off. Lot’s of fireworks going off here about 100 miles from Chicago.
I suspected that might be true. Everything is rigged these days, so it seems.
You got PWN3D by Jim Palmer in 1966. ;-)
Thanks !
I was watching that game - a second later it blacked out....
Go Cubs . Battle between two World Series drought striken teams. I hardly followed baseball at all this year. Who has the better pitching staff?
Nice, I love how they had so many cameras focused on the fans and they replayed all the clips of their faces when they won. Just awesome. My mom is even happier in heaven today. She never gave up hope.
Pitching staffs...pretty much equal there...
Cubs have better starters, but Cleves have some good bull pen men...
It’s all about the hittin’ sticks!!
Re: They dont actually play the game on the field like in the old days. Nowadays its all done with computer simulations. The players you see on your screen may appear to be real, but they are merely animated CGI creations.
Yes, it began back in 2013 after MLB was deemed by the Obama administration to be too violent a sport, and not worth risking injury.
