Connor Brewer is fiercely loyal to his college football team. But he is also fiercely loyal to the United States of America.
So when the Millikin University football team decided to protest the national anthem by remaining inside the locker room instead of on the sidelines - Connor was faced with a decision.
Would he join his teammates in their university-approved safe space or would he stand on the sidelines and honor America?
Connor chose to stand alone.
One of my readers sent me a photograph of what transpired on Oct. 15th at the private Illinois university. It was deeply moving.

Well done, Connor Brewer. God bless you.
I wonder if he’ll be on the team much longer. Or what his team mates think.
Courage.
True words well spoken
“Courage.”
==
True - but it’s a sad commentary on the state of America that this is a courageous stand instead of the norm.
If his teammates are honest people, he just elevated himself in their eyes and anyone else who is aware of what has transpired. To me, the rest of the team caved to political correctness and I’ll have no part of it. I refuse to watch any team that fails to honor the flag that has treated them so well.
I hear ya, and any team member that doesn’t admire Brewer for this isn’t worth spit.
Good job, young man. But don’t forget
to remove your Helmut next time.

Bravo & thank you, young man.
Well it’s clear to me what type of people his team mates are, by letting him stand alone.
If I were the parents of these other players I would be ranking their allowances. The alums of this institution should be up in arms . . .unless the apples don’t fall far from the trees.
Sometimes you only need a “TEAM OF ONE” to represent America.
Amen!
That can’t be a good team if only one player hashould testosterone in his system.
RANKING. . . .MAKE THAT YANKING THEIR ALLOWANCE
The other sad truth is that neither did their parents.
I never thought I would live to see this day that we, in this country (especially their elders) will see the day that no one honors America anymore, at least not enough to defend her. Then she will be no more.
I would be proud to have this young man for my son.
