OK, so Trump showed machismo when in a group of males by making "inappropriate" references to females. Machismo is the sense of being 'manly' and self-reliant, the concept associated with "a strong sense of masculine pride with the supreme valuation of characteristics culturally associated with the masculine and by implication some say, a denigration of characteristics associated with the feminine. It is associated with a man’s responsibility to provide for, protect, and defend his family. Old school? Maybe, but get a group of males together with testosterone flowing and machismo shows up. I wouldn't give a plugged nickle for any male without that characteristic. Liberals want to define the behavior as abhorrent. I could name a host of liberal behaviors I could define that way. Given a choice between them, macho is not so bad.
I wasn’t saying they were the “measure of a man”. The original poster was describing the comments as “machismo”. I think the qualities I described qualify as “macho”, which is really all I was going for.
By your posts I see you are a Christian. I won’t insult a brother. But for what it’s worth, I like to think I have some measure of honesty as well, and it is intellectual honesty that is making me think this is not going away.
But noticed, under encouragement from Bush, the vignette he produces has him rebuffed. I might think SOME female would point this out. Not typical. “Warriors” regale one another recounting tales of victory, not defeat. SOMEONE might point out this vignette ACTUALLY is a display of humility.

The term “macho” was invented by progressives as they employed “critical theory.”
Critical theory is simply the movement to overthrow all forms of established tradition, in this case causing anti-male sentiment through the creation of a scapegoat.
The scapegoat, which you have fallen for, is “machismo.”
Honestly, the invasion of privacy does bother me; I admit that freely. I am not gleeful over this thing, I assure you.
I just don’t like having bragging about assaulting women being equated with locker room talk. That was my entire point. My “agenda” is a pretty thin hope that someone will change the ticket at this point.

Most males of my acquaintance have said such as this to other men at one time or another. I can only imagine that most democrat men discuss grabbing penises to other democrats.
My husband is a macho type man. Martial arts for decades, vol. firefighter, construction trade.
He would never say anything like what Trump said, and in fact, used to hang out with some guys who liked to hike in the mountains because it’s not so good to do by himself (mountain lions, cliffs etc) but stopped because they told dirty jokes.
He thinks that Trumps said crude stuff and HE DOESN’T CARE because he knows that Trump is the only thing between a USA that survives and turns in the right direction, or HELL.

Nope, not perfect by a long shot. I have said things that I am not proud of, and will freely admit that I am glad they are not public knowledge.
My point was simply that this is not normal “guy talk”, or even the boasting of a narcissistic blowhard. This is a married man, talking about a married woman, and bragging about groping strangers. This is a bridge too far.
I make you this honest promise, no sarcasm. If I ever saw a woman relative of yours being groped by a stranger out of a sense of entitlement and fame, this imperfect guy would do all I could to lay him down.
