Bigfoot Spotted Lurking Under Bald Eagle Nest
CNET ^ | October 6, 2016 | Eric Mack

A webcam trained on a nest of eagle chicks in the woods of Michigan also catches a glimpse of something else in the wild.

Bigfoot, that mysteriously unkempt and anti-social gentlemen of the woodlands, has again made an appearance on camera in his trademark blurry yet intriguing style.

This time the legendary cryptid has apparently been captured on the CarbonTV Eagle Cam in northern Michigan. The live webcam is trained on a bald eagle nest 100 feet (30 meters) above the ground near the Platte River State Fish Hatchery.

As you can see in the video above, a dark lumbering figure walks into frame about 10 seconds into the clip. The shadowy silhouette of something clearly bipedal makes its way through the stand of trees before walking out of frame.

While the creature appears to fit the traditional description of Bigfoot, it also could pretty easily be explained as a bear or a human. Because the camera is capturing the forest floor looking down from 100 feet up, the perspective is a little screwy and it's hard to get much clarity.

Local media reported the story Wednesday, but the footage was actually shot in the spring of 2016. It was posted to YouTube earlier in the year but then taken down due to a copyright claim by CarbonTV, which then posted the clip on its own account in September.

This sighting is about on par with other inconclusive bits of evidence that Sasquatch exists, like the few seconds of something hairy captured in Sequoia National Park earlier this year.

Check it out for yourself and see what you think. One thing is for sure, though: those bald eagle chicks are ridiculously adorable.

Well! I’d never heard of ‘Bobo’- I don’t watch much television - and that’s very interesting.

(But I’m left wondering how his ‘skill set’ as a surfer enabled his hunt for Bigfoot...?)

Guy in a monkey suit.

That's what they said about the Patterson film (ca. 1967). Before the common use of Velcro and contemporary costuming. Muscles rippling beneath the skin is hard to fake. That bigfoot was a she, by the way.

And the creatures have been reported for hundreds of years throughout much of the northern hemisphere.

Or they would ask, ‘how often have you found a dead bear carcass or skeleton in the woods?’

Once. Mostly eaten deer remains. It was gone by the next summer (though I did not dig around to look for remaining bones).

Back in the 60s there was a professional wrestler named Eddie Fay. I wonder if Bobo is related?

I’m about halfway through. I don’t know what to make of it. It’s not just the woman, her son is interviewed too.

Hard to believe that people wouldn’t do whatever they could to just get out of there, if this were really happening...

But they don’t sound like they’re faking the whole thing.

I think that IS the one.

I never believed in Bigfoot, pretty much thought that’s so ridiculous.

But that woman sounded so sincere and her stories sounded very plausible.

I mean, there are a lot of creatures on this earth...

"...there are a lot of creatures on this earth..."

And there's a lot of this Earth that isn't really explored yet. I remember something from when I was a kid doing Science Fair stuff about the oceans and Moon: the saying in the '60s was that we knew more about the Moon than we did about our own seas. And I would bet that this is still the case.

I listened to the whole thing; some of the callers-in were interesting, too.

The lady and her son didn't seem to be super-educated people, but very intelligent and able to express themselves and their experiences well.

Assuming for argument that this is true, you have to make allowance for subjective interpretation - or misinterpretation - of what they experienced and observed; and that may smooth over some of the 'rough edges'.

I thought better of why they weren't just Getting Out - the lady is on Social Security; the property is something that is probably inexpensive for them, and she said that they hadn't left because finances hadn't allowed it...

Or, it could all be what the French call a 'folie a deux' - a shared delusion.

I don't know. But I still believe that there's something - whatever it is - to this 'Bigfoot' thing. There are just too many stories, going back so far.

It was an interesting interview, wasn’t it? Not ridiculous but somehow believable.

There are lots of interviews online with people who have “seen something”. You have to judge for yourself whether you believe them or not.

I’m sure that a lot of the people who think they see Bigfoot are seeing bears. But it’s very hard to believe that all of the seasoned outdoorsmen who have stuck their necks out to tell their stories are making that mistake.

(One of the documentaries plotted sightings on a map, and correlated them with higher than average rainfall in those areas, which was very interesting.)
