The routine "Taco Tuesday" just jumped up a notch.
As it happens every year, Oct. 4 is firmly penciled in as National Taco Day. What makes this annual celebration ever tastier this go around is that it just happens to fall on the day of the week famously referred to as "Taco Tuesday."
Whether you plan to satisfy your cravings at a beloved taco truck or dine-in at the neighborhood taqueria, a few establishments will be celebrating with you.
On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is offering its spread of mini tacos for a price of just two quarters, according to its Twitter page.
Chipotle Mexican Grill joined in the festivities by rolling out chorizo, a spicy pork sausage, to its menu nationwide, CNBC reported.
While you treat yourself Tuesday, just know that you certainly won't be alone.
The National Taco Day website estimates that Americans downed over 4.5 billion tacos in 2015. Putting that number into astronomical proportion, 4.5 billion tacos lined up would reach to the moon and back.
I keep hoping for hot fudge sundae to land on a tuesday.
Reminds me of the 4 for $1 Tuesday taco special at Del Taco in 1964.
Taco bowls included?

Ooh, baby, baby, can I have your tacos?
Those tacos sure look good!
I’m just Jenny from the hood!
Ooh, can I have your tacos?
Ooh, I—
Oh, stop, stop!
(music stops)
What the hell is wrong with you!?
You chulos can’t even keep a beat!
I deserve better than this!
I am Hennifer Hlopez!
Where’s my water?
Not Evian, Pellegrino you stupid bitch!!
Fortunately, national Imodium Day falls on that Wednesday.
Didn’t know today was Taco Day. That explain why I had the urge to make Tacos for tonight dinner. Hmmmm I may have come down with Taquitositis. Tonight Chicken Tacos =)
Gonna celebrate at my favourite local Mexican chain in the Denver area...Santiago’s. They truly make one the best tacos I have ever had, and not a bad tamale either. And their french fries are so good! Not like a McD’s or BK. REAL fries. I wonder if they cook them in lard ‘cause they taste so good?
Happy Taco Day!
Huma sure has got some teethies on her!
lol.
If you’re not Mexican, and you celebrate “National Taco Day,” you are guilty of culturaly appropriation.
It is awesome. We all went to Taco Bell for tacos for lunch. Fun times. I know a lot of people do taco tuesday’s, but I haven’t gotten that far yet.
Enough cultural appropriation!
I never had a taco.
.
Really?
I never ate at Taco Bell until an adult.
Is it because of the part of the country/world you live or you just never wanted to try one?
Taco Bell isn’t that great, but they’ll do in a pinch. Pretty cheap in cost. But as I said up thread, my fave is a local chain’s version.
