“Robin was losing his mind and he was aware of it.” He was struggling with paranoia, anxiety, delusions, insomnia, and other symptoms both physical and menta”

Sounds like your typical democrat.

None of these fancy diseases is more powerful in late life than the soft touch and gentle loving kiss of a son or daughter.

My first thought is who cares and why should I?

Sounds like a complete horror show. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. I’d like to think that if I was going through that I’d come clean to my family about what was going on and have a clear detailed will. He may have been in such a messed up state that none of that was possible and a quick exit looked like the only way out.

Poor Robin. Suffered through depression years before. Goes 6 years depression free and then gets this nightmare of a disease.

Robin's comedy routine was always somewhat crazy. One can easily imagine him doing his weird strut from one side of the room to the other with belt in hand, arguing with himself the pros and cons of suicide for hours till he finally darted to the door and hung himself in exhaustion. RIP.

Casey Kasem had this. Not sure about Robin Williams’ wife though... maybe the kids were lying, or maybe they have better PR.

Lewy Body is the disease Kelsy Grammer’s character, ‘Tom Kaine’ mayor of Chicago, was suffering from in the TV series ‘Boss’.
Terrible thing as described on the show.

No disrespect intended, but I wonder if this might have been a consequence of taking drugs during his younger years.

If there is a correlation between drug use and brain disease, then that should enter the public discussion.

Like the correlation between abortion and breast cancer (which of course is denied covered up by the media for pc reasons).

The guy had mental problems from the very beginning. I never cared for his so-called comedic genius.

What a nightmare for him and his family.

Robin Williams gave me countless moments of laughter til the tears rolled down my face. For that, I’m grateful!

Was he flawed? Of course. His politics were wrong-headed and foolish.

I appreciate that his wife is speaking publicly about his illnesses, it will likely be useful. Like it or not sometimes “celebrity” brings awareness to areas that we need to know more about. Something for the snarks on this thread to ponder.

Is it just me, or are comedians in reality, very unhappy people?

They seem to be trying to compensate for underlying mental issues.
