A few days ago I watched the 2015 movie, "Steve Jobs" on the Tube. One word description: BORING!!! Despite great material to work with, it was one big borefest. Aaron Sorkin's scipt was largely to blame. It didn't feel like real people involved talking. It came off as a platform for SorkinSpeak. You can always tell a movie he has written. It has his peculiar SorkinSpeak which consists of rapid fire chit chat signifying nothing.
Okay, that is my idea of the most boring movie that I have ever seen. What is yours? Remember, this doesn't mean WORST movie, only most BORING movie.
Any short list of boring that doesn’t include ‘My Dinner With Andre’ is a fraud. You’ll miss nothing by hearing it on the radio.
I was forced to watch the whole thing and at the end I asked- WTH? I wanted my 2 hours back!
She thought the Bill Murray character was ‘sophisticated’. I just thought he was phoning yet another performance in for the paycheck. Only redeeming quality was the exterior shots of Tokyo...
Pacino, not Hoffman.
But, yeah, it was awful!!
The Guru in The 60’s. It “starred” Rita Tushingham and was downright painful to watch it was so bad. It was part of a double feature and the second movie was the one I wanted so had to suffer.
Somebody had to by THE ticket. You were the lucky one, I guess. LOL!
That brought out a chuckle.
Piece of trivia: when the Sound of Music was opened in Hong Kong, the theater chain operator wanted to maximize his profits so to run it as frequently as possible, he cut out all the music to shorten the running time so he could run the film two more times each day.
Try watching “The Newsroom”, a episodic series about some CNN type outfit that has nothing but insanely fast over the top dialogue.
The first episode was somewhat interesting but when they were still carrying on like they had each done an 8 ball of coke in the second it was clear that Sorkin is insane.
Felt sorry for the actors.
“Song of Norway.” Never ever seen that. I don’t think it’s ever been run on tv, at least I’ve never seen it on the schedule. I know Florence Henderson was in it and it’s generally considered one of the worst film musicals ever made at a time when the genre was dying.
That musical “Lost Horizon” was one of the most bizarre films I’ve ever seen. How on earth they could look at that ‘30s classic and see some cheesy, horrid musical within it for the ‘70s just baffles me.
Me either.
"Birdman" didn't make my 20-minute interest test, and it won Best Picture.
Face Off
As Stupid as a movie can get.
My ending for WATERWORLD:
The humanoids are approaching the only land left on earth. As they get closer, a group of people walk out from the forest and stand on the beach. They look at each other and then back at the approaching craft.
These people on the beach are the Indians from Dances With Wolves.
The Chief looks at the others and asks “Do we want to go through this again?”
Camelot. Boring.
Saw it when I was in HS at my Sister’s college, came out and it was total fog out...chills. Excellent movie.
Yes, Titanic. Why didn’t they drown that stupid song for Pete’s sake?
We were actually in Times Square when he filmed that running sequence....
Barry Lyndon with Ryan O’Neal and Marisa Berenson. I could not wait for it to end.
WHAT?!?!?!?! Sacrilege! Blasphemy!
