And this is what I was saying to all the cheerleaders on the live thread. He could have done much better...especially at the beginning.
And if WE think it was a draw...what does the undecided or leaning hillary voter think. They will say she won it. He's got our vote sewn up....and doesn't need our vote.
Did Hillary do anything to make me think she not a liar and a criminal?
No, she then failed.
...looked like a MSM/DNC staged event....who is surprised by this?
Rehearsed political dreck from Hilliary. Who can believe a word that comes out of her mouth?
Trump needed to ignore the staged event and just let her and the MSM have it...hopefully next 2 debates he will.
Trump won, but not by the standard way of measuring.
He totally nailed the moderator regarding the Iraq War and ‘no one called Hannity’.
It was obvious that the moderator had coordinated with Hillary.
Trump was up against not only two people but also an orchestration.
Despite all of that, the worst they could do was malign his character. But when it comes to maligned characters, no one is sleazier than the Clintons. So that ‘win’ is a non-issue.
On issues he whipped her — ISIS, the economy, the national debt, the Iran Deal, and the US is always ripped off.
He had to mention Rosie because Hillary tried to portray his comments as relating to women in general.
I think he could have done better; she did well but he got good shots in.
I’ve waited years for someone to confront Hillary to her face like that.
He came across to me like a CEO. Someone who’s good at ramming a point home to keep his team focused. Someone who has looked people in the eye and fired them. The ‘30 years and nothing’ line was great.
She came across like a high school debate team member. A ready made answer for everything. The ‘Trumped up economics’ was used a couple of times. You could tell she thought it cute, but I don’t think it’ll stick with the public.
Winner: I think Trump, but I really don’t know how the half of our country that elected Obama twice even tie their shoes each morning, let alone how they will interpret this debate.
I’m from a planet where we analyze what really happened and what the likely effects will be, instead of what we imagine. That’s evidently not your planet. You’re flat out wrong. She did not say “tax and spend” when she brought up his comments about women. She did not say “tax and spend” when she made him seem reactionary.
SHE got new lines out as to stamina and effectively touted her diplomatic experience and depth, ridiculous though those may be, and because he did not prepare one stupid word, he was clearly rattled back to robotically repeating the exact same lines he has used a thousand times and “You look at and you look at and you look at” and “it’s a mess it’s a mess”.
SHE retained the woman vote with those “looks” comments.
SHE did not stumble not fall off the podium as was forecast.
HE did not gain one single vote he didn’t/doesn’t already have.
HE showed a cavalier attitude by obviously, obviously not preparing one single solitary word.
I don’t think he gained a single vote.
But Cruz would not build the wall, stop immigration, stop muslims from streaming into the country.
Trump did fine, people see him as NOT a politician and that is refreshing !!! Hillary is a 30 year political hack with a smooth lying tongue and people see it.
When she said he might owe people money that he’s trying to cover up, that was a big opportunity for him to bring up the Clinton foundation, which she made her entire fortune on and is guilty of exactly what she accused him of, being beholden to those big donors.
She laughed at him.
Yet Trump managed to cream Ted Cruz. Thank heavens we didn’t get stuck with a loser like Ted Cruz debating Hillary.
Not with the huge numbers suggesting most Americans are deeply suspicious of the MSM. And this is a change election.
The MSM has nothing to do with what people heard her say.
This debate will change little, if anything.
Do you have a problem with Trump supporters or just alcohol?
I agree, that he left a lot on the table ....and missed a few opportunities. I’m sure that won’t happen again.
I’m disappointed, nothing on her server, emails; Benghazi; Russia uranium deal, c. foundation.
It was pretty obvious when she was lying which was often and everything else was meaningless rhetoric...
What she said.
>>Trump was AWFUL. He was underprepared and basically winged it. He missed so many opportunities to nail Hillary, and was visibly frustrated and angry at times.
She on the other hand, appeared very well prepared, and was much more composed than he was.
I expect Trump to keep going up.
I agree. Trump will continue to climb and time might be short, but it is on his side.
Amen. Everything worked out perfectly.
For a long time - indeed, since the previous election - I have felt that the fix is in on Benghazi. There is some sort of threat - a ban - on the topic. It must come from high up.
