Clueless iPhone 7 owners have been destroying their new £600-handsets after watching a prank video advising them to drill a hole for their headphones.
Apple's slick new phone comes without a headphone jack, unlike any of its predecessors, as the tech giant encourages its customers to invest in wireless ear pieces.
The cruel but funny tutorial instructs iPhone uses to clamp their precious new mobiles in place before creating their own jack with a 3.5mm drill.

Yeah. I've worked in various technology jobs for years, both in mechanical and IT/electronic stuff. My young boy is a machinist and quite a welder, also very good with computer stuff. Maybe in this case they used a Titanium Nitride coated bit but a Titanium Aluminum Nitride bit would have been better. Or plain Cobalt. Maybe the ones who weren't successful lived south of the equator and did not use a left-hand twist drill? Ooh. We have to be globally aware when we post stuff.
The visual works huh?! There is gag pic somebody put up a few days back called: ‘If the Titanic had sunk in 2016’. It is a view from the people floating in the water, the ship half sunk, and everyone putting up their cell phones taking pictures of it going down! That is about it!
Not surprising and they probably do vote Democrat. Sadly the boobs vote.
Very well done. I love the dig on BMW drivers.

There are no words for the industrial strength stupidity of some people. . . those who might be doing this, or those who think there actually may be people who do these things! Clueless users drilling a 3.5mm hole where the 3.5 mm audio jack once was located on iPhones under the mis-impression that they will uncover an existing jack they can plug their 3.5mm audio earphones into, without doing any damage to their new iPhones and being shocked when that doesn't work and neither does their new iPhone anymore! SHEESH! PING!
Thanks to Freeper Lurkin'n'Learnin for the heads up, and to ameribbean expat for the first posting and the head shake as I read the article! Not to mention the Laugh Out Loud!
