We have just received information that a certain Marine Corps INFANTRY BATTALION currently stationed at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina has been placed in an ALERT STATUS. All leave has been cancelled for the unit, and all Marines have been ordered back to base immediately!
Camp Lejeune
Camp Lejeune is located only a few hours away, by HUMVEE, from Charlotte, North Carolina. We are unable to confirm if this is related to the Insurrection in Charlotte. However, this is the closest location of US Military Troops to Charlotte. We will continue to bring your the latest news as it develops.
Also, we have learned that President Obama is planning to address the crisis in the next few days. We will update this article as information comes available.

It’s probably related to the NFL game on Sunday. A massive show of force around the stadium will....inflame the peoples?
The article is BS.
The closest to Charlotte is Ft Bragg.
In the age of smart phones and the internet I would surmise total OPSEC is as futile as Borg resistance.
I do wonder however, if the Marines are going to be sent to Mosul, where a final push against ISIS is set to happen in a few weeks. I'm just not sure if Obama will have us fighting for or against ISIS in this one.
Please explain just what the word “legal” means to the left.
More likely bound for Syria than Charlotte. Wag the dog...
All Zero has to do to end Charlotte is pick up the phone. Which will happen as soon as he sees it is hurting Hillary...unless he wants to hurt Hillary. Which is entirely possible.
Thanks for the info it sounds like the sensible thing to do.
Several problems with this “account.” First of all, the term “back to base.” Where were they to begin with? In the field (Lejeune has a huge range complex) On ship? Their location is important, since it would give some idea of their level of readiness. If the battalion just returned from a deployment (say, to Afghanistan), they’re not likely to deploy. Ditto for units on the lower end of the deployment cycle, that is, they’ve been back for a while, but need more training and equipment maintenance to get ready to go again.
Secondly, a Marine battalion brings a lot of capability to the table, but if more military support is needed in Charlotte, the logical source is the North Carolina National Guard (specifically the military police units). Deploying the Marines would violate posse comitatus, it would also require the order of the president. I don’t rule out anything with this bunch, but I’ve seen no sign that even Obama is preparing for that draconian step.
Finally, if a Marine battalion at Lejeune is truly on alert, I’d be much more worried about something overseas, rather than the situation in Charlotte.
Maybe they’re gonna invade Bermuda.
Only another hundred miles or so to the island...and they could swim there.
It is...gives you some idea of that site’s “credibility.”
LOL! Understood.
We had an election in 1864. How do relatively small and isolated events like Charlotte justify declaring martial law? I’m not saying he wouldn’t try it, but it would be a pretty hard sell under the circumstances. I think he’d have a tiger by the tail.
Bull manure. There is no reason to believe that the North Carolina National Guard can’t handle things.
If not related to Charlotte, then what? Hmmmmm
Going to Syria
The 82nd has been used for riot control during the ‘67 Detroit riots, and they helped after hurricane Andrew and Katrina.
There’s no provision for canceling elections under ‘martial law’ anyway. Blogger trolling.
What makes you so sure that a battalion had been placed on alert to begin with?
Ft Bragg is army.
Deployment to Syria?
If the Marines were ordered to violate the posse comitatus, it would be the first step to ushering in marshall law.
Marines never heard of OPSEC!? Good grief.
