I have no idea about the 26th, but I’m wary of the following two dates:

FEMA IPAWS will hold a National test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at 2:20pm EDT.

Upcoming IPAWS National Test

Last Updated: 09/19/2016 - 08:19

The Emergency Alert System (EAS), is a resilient form of emergency alert notification, and the National EASRoad sign reads State of Emergency in Effect, Television EAS reads Tornado Warning - Emergency Alert System EAS Participant Issued a Tornado Warning, Siren, and Radio Test that was designed to assess the President’s ability to send a message to the American people within 10 minutes of a disaster.

In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, such as a major weather event, the back-up date for the IPAWS National Test is Wednesday, October 5th at 2:20pm EDT.

It’s the date of the 1st debate.

Yes. You see, sometime when I was in high school, in the late 80s to early 90s, there was a disgruntled employee at B93 FM in Austin (jingle: "Austin's hottest hits, B93!"). I think he was a DJ, but can't remember for sure. He'd been fired, or at least that was the rumor. Anyhoo, he barricaded himself in the studio and played "Hit the Road, Jack" for three or four days straight. Over and over and over. 24/7. I feel like the station's listenership prolly took a dive during the Jack Out, because...you know...and yet, it was oddly compelling. You didn't want to miss anything...what if the DJ went (more) nuts and you missed it? What if the station finally came on with some explanation and you weren't around to hear it? The standoff ended eventually. I have no memory whatsoever of how it ended or what ever became of the guy.

I feel like this "Trump will go 26th" situation is almost identical to the DJ Ray Charles hullabaloo, except not at all the same.

If it had said "Trump will go 24th" there would be no mystery at all. And I think you know what I mean.

Going after the millennials? Or whatever the generation after the millennials is called.

An appeal to Generation Z?
