“But, I’m getting my revenge. I’m picking out his CHEAP Nursing Home with Nurse Ratchet at the helm. And he KNOWS this, LOL!”

Well, heck, he did a GREAT job since 99% of the people today don’t even take that much care in their elderly parents. They would even care to help pick out much less get them into a nursing facility.

My Dad and I have a great relationship...later in life! I left home at 17 (10 minutes after High School Graduation) and wasn’t around much until my mid-30’s when I settled back down from my globe trotting.

He thought I’d never make ANYTHING of myself, though he LOVES to brag on my Army Career - calls me his, ‘Five Foot Two Tank Commando.’

I have never missed a meal and have never lacked a roof over my head or clothing to wear thanks to him. Totally normal upbringing; a Mom AND a Dad! He loves me like the Sun coming up in the morning. I can do no wrong in his eyes, and I can depend on that.

Not many women these days HAVE that, so I appreciate it. He’s still living on his own in an apartment. I have help that comes in 3x a week but I run all of his errands for him each week, assemble his meds for the week, do his laundry, get groceries, play a few hands of Cribbage with him and pay his bills, etc.

We’ll keep this up until he needs more medical assistance. For now, It’s All Good. :)
