My guess is Tom Hanks.
Reasons come from this biographical article.
- Comes from a broken home.
- Father was an itinerant short-order cook from Concord, CA who divorced when Hanks was four.
- Family was split up. Father took Hanks and two older two older children, mother took youngest brother.
- Rarely saw his mother after age 5.
- By the age of ten, Hanks had lived in ten different houses.
- His father remarried twice more, Hanks found himself with a stepbrother and four stepsisters from the first marriage and a stepsister from the second. His mother also remarried and he was known as Number Nine in a family of 16 siblings and step-siblings.
- From the article: He can be hard to live with he says, both at home and on a film set. If he's not getting his own way he can lose his temper... [H]e can be ruthless with money. "I do not go looking for trouble but I am no pushover," he warns. "I believe in making my points as politely as possible. If that does not work then I can become a little stronger in my intentions." ...Hanks, whose usually kindly blue eyes can take on the appearance of a chill winter's sky when challenged, always attempts to keep the peace on a film set. His ability to soothe hurts and slights is a matter of record...
- From Wikipedia: While Hanks' family religious history was Catholic and Mormon, he has characterized himself as being a "Bible-toting evangelical" for several years as a teenager. In school, Hanks was unpopular with students and teachers alike, later telling Rolling Stone magazine, "I was a geek, a spaz. I was horribly, painfully, terribly shy. At the same time, I was the guy who'd yell out funny captions during filmstrips. But I didn't get into trouble. I was always a real good kid and pretty responsible."
That seems like the profile of troubled youth with self-esteem issues, who learned to compensate to get his way.
I'm probably wrong, but it fits the tease.

ONe of his kids is a train wreck. The other is starring in Life in Pieces on CBS.

It doesn’t fit the tease, because Feldman says the person was a major A-list star and head of a “ring” of child/gay sex predators by around 1984-85. Tom Hanks is too young for that billing.
There actually seem to be (at least) two major pervs alluded to, if Corey Feldman’s statements are accurate: one who raped Corey Haim when he was 11 yrs old (around 1982) and someone different who is the one referred to as a major A-list star who came into Corey Haim’s life in his “mid-teens” (so around 1984-86, presumably).
