Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt. TMZ reports that the actress filed papers on Monday citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and asking for physical custody of the couple's six children. The pair began dating in 2004 and were married in August 2014.

Oh how can I face the day now.....this is devastating....
[Angelina’s dad, actor Jon Voight, is a true, blue conservative.]
Yes, yes he is. Good on him. He slammed Obama years ago - perfectly.
Have a drink. Have two! Have a steak, too!
I saw Angelina in the Tourist in 2010. She looked anorexic then. Hope she doesn’t end up like Karen Carpenter.
She was probably at a stresspoint then and recovered for a while. I consider it a form of OCD that kicks in when too many other factors in life are out of control.
I didn’t think that Angelina and her father had a good relationship..... they didn’t even talk at all for years.... but I don’t follow CelebWorld much.....
I’m a “John” but when I was growing up “Jon” was often short for “Jonathan”.... no reason a “Jonathan” needs to spell as a “John”.... not that I care!
That was cold.
Jolie was estranged from her father until quite recently, and Jon Voight was a liberal for most of his life. I believe both of her parents’ families are pretty traditional Catholics, although Voight is known to be very fond of Lubavitch Hasidic teachings.
BTW, I think Jolie’s uncle (Voight’s brother) is the guy who wrote the classic ‘Wild Thing’ pop song.
I don’t follow that world much either except when a film comes out of Hollywood that is patriotic (which is rare). Angelina’s first film as a director was ‘Unbroken’ and it was extremely controversial in Hollywood.
It was politically incorrect.
The Hollywood news media descended on her and so it caught my eye and interest to see what kind of person she was.
Many in the press tried to blame her agreeing to direct the film and to carry its production as influenced by her conservative father. So the subject came up as to the state of her relationship with her father. She let it be known that she loved her father very much.
I would imagine that the Hollywood press had for years downplayed her relationship with her father because she was a Hollywood favorite, she was engaged and later married to Pitt and she was winning lots of awards. From Hollywood’s point of view. I imagine the only negative thing on her cinematic and personal history was that she was the daughter to this ‘conservative’ actor. So the solution was to describe her as on the outs with her father. That way, Hollywood could accept her as one of their own. That’s the way I see it.
Hollywood is full of such sleaze. There’s so so much vanity in it that it logically follows that it would attract people with the worst kind of morals.
#110 explains how I became interested.
Maybe Mr & Mrs Smith wasn’t just a movie ...
I suspect that the one daughter wanting to be a boy put pressure on the marriage...among other things
somehow I doubt that
Fascinating, thanks!
These two nothing-ball amorals are part of the endless circles of adultery, unfaithfulness, lust, greed, multiple divorces, multiple re-marriages, carnal appetites, homosexuality, lechery, debauchery, egotism and arrogance that has marked the Hollywood entertainment scenario for over a century....only things are done more openly now....with the moral standards of a healthy society being damned.
I can't remember the last time I was in a movie theater.....I simply won't finance their fun, games and glorified public dramas.

I hope not, too.
My sister was anorexic/bulimic; it’s one way to deal with an incredible amount of stress.
Why would Angelina be surprised about Brad cheating on her and playing kissy-face with another actress?
After all - That’s how she got him from Jennifer Aniston.
Don’t. Just don’t.
I hear Karen’s voice come on radio and I about smash the thing. It was such a tragedy and makes me angry to this day.
I visited someone with anorexia in the hospital long ago. She was a hot mess, poor thing. Saw her years later; she looked better.
