Pathetic self-aggrandizement post on my part ... but I ain't celebrating it nor am I ashamed of it ... I'm just yer usual normal citizen who loves America and am so happy that I was born here and am able to rant and rave, in a silly way, about the follies of my fellow Americans ... pay no attention to that Big Brother behind the Curtain .......

Then how do you explain Flea?
You’ve described my son’s band fairly well. There are 3 of them. The lead singer and the lead guitarist are the same guy. My son is the bassist. He is the glue that holds the band together.

So why is Rock “in decline”?
It’s NOT because of downloading, like Gene Simmons says.
EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is better now and more popular?
Gotta read the captions.
Ping for later. It’s my rock n roll birthday night in Tokyo now. We just returned to downtown from the awesome Yokota Friendship Day at Fussa.
So many beautiful birds and...”beautiful birds”.
Ronin was wearing his rock n roll adorned vest along with all his Connie gear too.
I think this was a well reasoned, perfectly rational description.
Oh, and I’ve got a Carl Thompson bass. :-)
Mark
My brother is all of those guys by turns. He also plays weddings and runs the AV department at Stetson U.
The bassist is the most normal person in the band - so how do you explain Lemmy?
A good bass player that sings harmony can work 7 nights a week in Texas if he/she wants to. ;o)
COVER OF ROLLING STONE
Well, we’re big rock singers
We’ve got golden fingers
And we’re loved everywhere we go (that sounds like us)
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
For ten-thousand dollars a show (right)
We take all kinds of pills that give us all kind of thrills
But the thrill we’ve never known
Is the thrill that’ll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Chorus
(Rolling Stone) Wanna see my picture on the cover
(Stone)Wanna buy five copies for my mother (yeah)
(Stone)Wanna see my smilin’ face
On the cover of the Rolling Stone (that’s a very, very, good idea)
I got a freaky ole lady name a cocaine Katy
Who embroideries on my jeans
I got my poor old grey haired daddy
Drivin’ my limousine
Now, it’s all designed to blow our minds
But our minds won’t really be blown
Like the blow that’ll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Chorus
[Freaky Guitar Break]
(Ah, that’s beautiful)
We got a lot of little teenage blue-eyed groupies
Who do anything we say
We got a genuine Indian Guru
Who’s teaching us a better way
We got all the friends that money can buy
So we never have to be alone
And we keep getting richer but we can’t get our picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone
Chorus twice
An old fave of mine from Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show
I had that Nun for piano!
I have since switched to bass.

Man, you’re making me want to start playing again. There’s nothing finer than playing bass and falling into the groove with a good drummer.
SparkyBass concurs.
