This could be shaping up like the Republican primaries.

Early on, according to the pundits/commentators/experts there was NO path for Trump. Then, he swept the south, except for a partial win in Texas.

By mid-season, he was nearing 900 delegates but still no path.

Indiana was supposed to be the firewall. Trump won it massively.

Going into the convention, there was only a slight path, assuming the delegates did not revolt and decide to switch their votes. Trump had around 1300 delegates, with 1237 needed.

When the first ballot was over, Trump had 1725 and his nearest competitor 484.

Election night in November will either be as tight as 2000 or a landslide like 1980.

Two questions:

1. At what time will Rove, with his handy whiteboard, run down the hall to the control room to confront them and accuse them of miscounts?

2. At what time will Megyn Kelly run down the hall to the control room to confront them and accuse them of miscounts?

Far more likely the former than the latter. There are too many states Trump will not be able to flip (CA, IL, WA, OR, most of the northeast, ...).

I just want Trump to get at least 300 EVs. The margin of victory would be more than one battleground state.
