Election night in November will either be as tight as 2000 or a landslide like 1980.

Far more likely the former than the latter. There are too many states Trump will not be able to flip (CA, IL, WA, OR, most of the northeast, ...).

I just want Trump to get at least 300 EVs. The margin of victory would be more than one battleground state.

Unfortunately this is not the same country we lived in in 1980. Too many states are now deep-blue lost causes. California chief among them.
