By the time Amber Swink was strapped into a restraint chair in an isolation cell, she had already been pepper-sprayed once.
Barely able to open her eyes as she struggled inside a seven-point harness at the Montgomery County Jail in Dayton, Ohio, Swink could hear deputies laughing.
Moments later, for reasons the 25-year-old said she still doesn’t understand, Sgt. Judith L. Sealey approached the chair and fired a burst of pepper spray into Swink’s face at point-blank range.
Swink had been arrested during a night of heavy drinking at her home that evening. Swink admits that she was still somewhat intoxicated at the time but recalled that the pain was nearly unbearable as her face was coated with oleoresin capsicum.

As far as this, no one should ever believe the Washington Post to be accurate and not distort things.
She was pepper sprayed before she was restrained in the cell-you can see the stains on her shirt. Leaving the woman in the chair after she was originally sprayed was already inhumane. I imagine the cop who sprayed her assumed she would get away with the second dose to teach her a lesson. All these cops should go to jail.
Two things. When someone gets put in the chair, they already did something that necessitated them being in there, and with drunks, its usually assaulting staff.
That being said, that deputy that came in and sprayed her should be prosecuted. That was entirely punitive and violated the woman’s civil right, despite her probably being a serious drunken Alfa Hotel.
This is why it is important that supervisors step in and temporarily reassign officers who have been assaulted by prisoners so that they are not tempted to exact “payback”.
She just got tired of hearing her sh!t.

cop is black....I can just imagine a bunch of black cops standing around belittling the white chick and getting their jollies of having her restraint and then taking a power trip by spraying a restrained person with pepper spray...
Judith is one slick dude....so professional....I’ll bet she’s laughing about spraying the white chick even still...

........but, it seems there is one FACT that is not in dispute, and given the video, we can call it FACT. This black female police officer pepper sprayed a white woman chained to a chair.
Like Brannen said, this woman (the deputy) should have been fired and/or should be fired, today.
