Robert Griffin III put on injured reserve with shoulder injury

Robert Griffin III has a fractured bone in his left shoulder and will miss at least the next eight games for the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Monday.

Griffin was placed on injured reserve; if he is designated as the team's player to return, he could return to practice in six weeks, but he must miss a minimum of eight games. Browns coach Hue Jackson was asked if Griffin is done for the season.

"No, I think he'll be designated for IR," Jackson said. "We'll get an opportunity to see where he is four weeks from now and go from there."

Though surgery is not immediately required on the fractured coracoid bone, the team said Griffin's shoulder will not be re-evaluated for three to four weeks. The earliest he could return would be Nov. 10 at Baltimore.

Jackson said the team is hopeful surgery will not be needed at all.

"But I don't think we'll know until we get an opportunity to evaluate him again," Jackson said.

I was out of the loop for some reason and JUST heard about Romo’s career-ending injury. Hope he saved his pennies!

The Glass Joe of QBs. Favre played almost 300 straight games with broken bones, illness, addiction and his father died.

Sent him to London when they get an expansion team. Mostly Muslim there now, he’ll feel at home.

Oh, Good. You know, as a Born & Bred Green Bay Packer Backer, I HATE all other QBs, but I don’t wish them any ill will.

All is fair in Love and Football, Right? :)

Go, Pack! GO!

Favre was a throwback to the old days.
Back when real men played the game and most still needed off season jobs to support the family.

I miss the old tough guys.

At the line of scrimmage:
Gino Marchetti: Fatso, what defense we playing?

Art Donovan: the same one we been playing the last five years you stupid wop!

That’s how we all talked in the 30s and 40s in my old Boston neighborhood.

There was no violence and everyone got along just fine.

The MNF the day his father died was one of his greatest performances ever (and one of MNF's most thrilling "walk off" wins)

He's sleeping with one now, his "handler," an Arab BLM activist.

Combining RG3's fragility and the Browns' bad luck, I'm surprised he didn't spontaneously explode on the 50 yard line injuring the rest of the team.

“That’s how we all talked in the 30s and 40s in my old Boston neighborhood.

That was back before half the country was conditioned to be perpetually aggrieved about something.

Our county was Scottish or English pale white or African dark.
The closest we came to an Italian was a can of Chef Boyardee from the grocery store.
But everyone minded their manners and everything was fine.

There was the occasional fist fight but once it was over it was over.
I was related to half the county so it didn’t make sense to stay mad at kinfolk.

Gino Marchetti had some real tilts against Jim Brown.
