During a 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City, Hillary Clinton reportedly began to feel unwell and needed to leave. As she was entering a waiting vehicle, video shows aides helping her into the car as her legs seemed to buckle beneath her.
Naturally, speculation about that buckling flamed out all over social media. People who dislike Clinton leaped to point to what they view as yet more evidence that she’s too elderly or frail or ill or something to be president. Those who want to tamp down that kind of speculation asserted that it was a hot day and she likely felt faint from the heat.
So then we got assertions on Twitter that fainting doesn’t look like that or that one does not “faint from heat.”

But people do faint from heat, and yes, fainting does look like that. A statement from the Clinton campaign following the event said:
Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen. During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.
Clinton herself came out of her daughter’s apartment building within hours of the episode and said that it was “a beautiful day” and that she was feeling better.

Yes, it is possible to faint from heat. I’ve done it.
You can faint from ANYTHING!!! Hillary didn’t faint, she collapsed.

I read a report that she went stiff as a board but was semi-conscious. They couldn’t bend her enough to carry her so, and also for appearances, dragged her to the car. That’s when both her shoes came off.

Absolutely possible. Heat exacerbates or causes low blood pressure in some individuals. HOWEVER what isn’t possible is a presidential candidate passes out and doesn’t get a complete medical follow up to check their condition.

In answer to the question can heat cause one to pass out, I can state in the affirmative, but with a cadre of medical personnel, and others about her she would have been appropriately prepared for such heat as is required to cause such an event.
Certain precautions would have made this situation a non happening. Appropriate dress. Salt pills. Hydration. Other means addressed by appropriately licensed medical professionals such as are on tour with her.
Isn’t it amazing she’s the only one reported to have passed out due the heat?

I’ve passed out from heat stroke. Usually before you hit the pavement, you may feel it coming on. If you can sit down, it may pass, but when it hits you, you turn into a sack of cement.
It takes a lack of water in your system, plus hours in the sun, before your going to faint from the Su.
Unless you have a weakened health or are living on Venus, it’s not going to take the short length of time it took her to faint.
With the immense wealth that the Clintons have, $5000 is a pittance.
