During a 9/11 memorial ceremony in New York City, Hillary Clinton reportedly began to feel unwell and needed to leave. As she was entering a waiting vehicle, video shows aides helping her into the car as her legs seemed to buckle beneath her.
Naturally, speculation about that buckling flamed out all over social media. People who dislike Clinton leaped to point to what they view as yet more evidence that she’s too elderly or frail or ill or something to be president. Those who want to tamp down that kind of speculation asserted that it was a hot day and she likely felt faint from the heat.
So then we got assertions on Twitter that fainting doesn’t look like that or that one does not “faint from heat.”

But people do faint from heat, and yes, fainting does look like that. A statement from the Clinton campaign following the event said:
Secretary Clinton attended the September 11th Commemoration Ceremony for just an hour and thirty minutes this morning to pay her respects and greet some of the families of the fallen. During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.
Clinton herself came out of her daughter’s apartment building within hours of the episode and said that it was “a beautiful day” and that she was feeling better.

As have I.
A few years ago I was at a golf driving range with my nephew and it was very hot + mid+ 90’s. I was drinking water, and while I was hitting golf balls, it wasn’t like I walking around. I started feeling a bit light headed and then started to lose my balance and had to sit down. Even after sitting down I got a ringing in my ears and my vision started going black. I had to sit for a while with my head between my knees before it went away. My nephew also wetted a golf towel with water and put it on the back of my neck.
I also came very close to passing out while playing golf under similar very hot conditions, but I had been walking the course, carrying my clubs, a very hilly course. I played golf regularly and was in pretty good shape and I was drinking water and Gatorade but hadn’t eaten anything but a power bar earlier that morning.
I also have a lot of friends and relatives who march in Drum and Bugle Corps. Even though most competitions are held in the evening, it’s not unusual to see a couple of people pass out, especially at the end of the show. But then again they’ve been practicing all day in the hot sun.
However, it was in the low 80’s in NYC this morning, not excessively hot although I think it was still rather humid but not extremely so.
I’m not saying Hillary "fainted" or fainted because of the heat, but in answer to your question, yes, you can pass out from heat.

I agree, I think she had a seizure. They had to put out something. I was just reporting what I heard.
ABC is now saying she was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday. That’s rich.
That’s what I say, Hillary is a victim of global warming!
If I was diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday, I’d rest up during the weekend.
IF salt pills such as were prescribed, and provided me in South Korea at Camp Red Cloud are illegal now I don’t know.

Most times when you are dehydrated you stop sweating
As I mentioned earlier or in another thread it looks exactly how people can faint/pass out. Not everyone just crumbles to the ground immediately. Often times, people get light-headed, start to wobble from dizziness and weak legs and then pass out. I've witnessed people swaying and trying to get their bearings and then collapse...just like this video showed.
That said, add up her VERIFIED concussion, blood clot, corrective lenses glasses, thyroid problem, her age and weight, tripping, now fainting, not to mention her moments of a 100 yard stare. It's obvious the woman definitely has a debilitating disease or syndrome. The root cause remains speculative.

It was not 87, that is simply a untrue. The high at JFK today did not reach 85 until the warmest part of the day. It was slightly cooler in lower Manhattan all day.

Best estimate is that it was about 76 or 77 degrees when the ceremony began at 8:40 AM, and about 77 or 78 when she left.
It is called syncope. Happens to those not used to warm weather and they are trying to stand stock still. Happens to new military recruits, police at events, bosses overseeing work.
Common faint (NMS): this is also known as vasovagal syncope. It is the most common cause of fainting. NMS can occur in various situations. These include:
Fear.
Severe pain or emotional distress.
After extreme exercise.
After prolonged standing, especially in hot places (which is why soldiers on parade may faint).
When wearing tight collars that constrict the neck

I have had heat exhaustion a couple of times.
Trust me, feeling better took slightly more than 90 minutes.
I must have misread something. My bad.
We’re coming off an extreme heat wave. I don’t believe for a second it affected this privileged woman!
