Liberals at work are becoming more and more aggressive as the political scene unfolds and it actually looks like Trump might win. The latest comment by Hillary about "Deplorables" and the reaction to it as them really steamed up. The tone seems to be one of a leaning toward actual conflict should he win. One made a statement to the effect that a win by Trump would simply be unacceptable and action would have to be taken. We are at the breaking point, literally.

If it comes to actual reaction we will find that the left is awash in guns. They don’t mostly own them themselves but guns will be provided. I was wondering why all of a sudden the BLM movement pretty much died off at the Trump rallies. There are only a handful of harmless protesters outside his rallies now, pretty much simply people that come out on their own without being paid, bussed in and organized as they were before.

Somebody pulled the plug because the optics must have been very negative for the dems.

What concerns me is that Democrats are convinced that Hillary is a shoe-in. They will be disappointed when she doesn't win and, I predict, will try legal maneuvers to hold the final decision. There will be rioting and violence. And of course, our side will respond.

You have exactly the tactic they use against politically sound Americans. Their tactic is to start yelling at you on the work floor until a manager comes up. Then they tell what you said that triggered their outburst and try to get you fired right there.

An appropriate response to the sentiment expressed would be action begets action, Snowflake, and if we’ve been able to resist the temptation for revolt during the Obama nightmare then they ought to be able to handle a Trump presidency. And if not they’d best think about the last seven years of successive record arms and ammunition purchases and in whose hands that materiel mostly rests. If they think they’re in a superior position to survive a bout of anarchy then they do not know what the word means.

If I’m reading the OP correctly, it’s more of an on the job issue, which needs to be handled carefully. Others have mentioned it as well. Political discussion isn’t appropriate at work, especially since HR departments seem to lean left. Document any aggressive behavior and find allies if possible. You need witnesses to anything shady that should happen. Always keep your cool and state in no uncertain terms that you don’t care to discuss politics at work due to their being “a diverse group of people here, who all probably feel strongly about the subject.” Use their own language to shut them down.
