Oh... I see. I misunderstood... I thought they did away with the standard 3.5mm jack. My mistake.

No, there is no 3.5mm audio jack built in to the iPhone 7, but there is a free Lightning port to 3.5mm adaptor included with the iPhone 7 that connects any earphones or accessory that requires a 3.5mm jack to the iPhone 7 so those can still be used. They also provide a set of new Lightning connected earbuds.

Why the heck did they do that? What was wrong with the standard 3.5mm jack? Will the adapter always be free? What if it breaks, will they replace it for free?
