Mark Levin - NON STOP NEVER TRUMP (Vanitiy)

Posted on 08/31/2016 5:46:05 AM PDT by Scythian_Reborn

Okay, I hadn't listened to Levin in weeks, can't stand him now, but had to run some errands and took my sons car as I have the top and doors off my Jeep and it was raining. He doesn't have my stations tuned in. So I hit the AM station and Levin was on, here's my synopsis.

He first gave the "insurmountable" path Trump has to the white house and that he almost assuredly, barring a miracle, cannot win the White House. After the long diatribe just before the break he says "We nominated the wrong candidate".

Back from break he goes on and on about how he's against those that are trying to sabotage Trump, says that's wrong. Honestly, at the same time he seemingly attacking these never Trumpers he himself is doing the biggest hatchet job on Trump I've ever heard. It was amazing, at the same time while he sounded like he was laying into the never Trumpers, he himself was doing the biggest "never trump" hit job I have ever heard. I'll giving him credit, it was masterful, and I doubt the CruzBots can even detect it. No, they are in the corner hanging on every word, in the fetal position, chanting "What do I do? What do I do !!"

He then goes on to say while sabotaging Trump is wrong, and voting for Hillary is wrong, if you feel of good conscious that you cannot vote for Trump, would rather write somebody's name in, or just stay home, he respects that, due to principals.

Finally, he laid into the media for hating Cruz. At that point he just turned into a sore loser I love Ted Cruz and hope Trump loses.

Levin, and CruzBots are enemies of the Constitution every much as the liberals because they put their candidate above the country, period. Finally, I think many conservatives, of which I am one, are stupid, really just plain dumb and by and large a huge part of why we have lost elections. They cannot learn, what they know is what they will always know.

Levin then promised after Labor Day to let us know who he'll be voting for, and you can be it won't be Trump, my guess, in good conscious, it will be a write in, and I cannot imaging who? I have less than zero respect for Levin now, it was incredibly painful to listen to him, I was fighting with every ounce of strength not to turn it off. If there was a very good liberal radio station that was a non-stop attack machine on Trump, Levin's show is it.

Period means period, and neverTrump means neverTrump. Since you’re not Mark Levin, your impressions don’t cancel his direct statements. Link me to a quote where he says he’s reneged on his neverTrump commitment, or stop wasting my time.

Wow! What a gracious response.

Levin had announced LAST WEEK that he would declare who he was voting for AFTER Labor Day.

Think about it.

Why would he need to announce to his audience who he was voting for? ??

Because pre-Labor Day it wasn’t clear.

Duh.

So you DISHONESTLY took his POST Labor Day announcement and applied it retroactively.

News for you: had it been clear, obvious, or even surmisable PRE-LABOR Day, Levin would not have (1) had to prep his audience for the big announcement, or (2) have had to make the announcement at all.

Can you comprehend this???

Are you really serious? If he said last week he'd announce after Labor Day who he was voting for, then he'd already decided who he was voting for and just wanted to build up a large enough audience to spike his ratings. What? You think he was sitting around Hamlet-like all last week trying to decide? Ridiculous.

Once again, what are you talking about Mr. Fantasy Writer? Obviously, before Levin made his announcement nobody was absolutely sure what he would say. But if one wanted to make a bet, the signs were all there that he'd endorse Trump. I saw that. You didn't.

The signs were there, because whatever Levin said about Trump, what he said about Hillary Clinton was even more negative. You focused on the bogus headlines from months back that took Levin's emotional rant as a definitive statement that he'd never vote for Trump.

How silly was that? Of course, when Levin makes an endorsement, it's going to be a major thing for him, not something he tosses off in the middle of a rant months before.

"Prepping" the audience, making an official announcement: all ways of boosting ratings. But anybody who really thought he was going to back Clinton or Johnson or staying home wasn't paying very close attention.

You were saying Mark Levin wouldn't endorse Donald Trump. I said he probably would. And look what happened. He did. All the snark and accusations don't change that.

‘You were saying Mark Levin wouldn’t endorse Donald Trump.’

I was reading carefully through your comments, wordy though they were. I could with ease respond to your completely-missing-the-point points...but then I came to the above outright lie.

I don’t like lies.

If you care to rephrase your comments so as to eliminate this blatant lie, I’ll be happy to respond.

Otherwise, here is my response:

If you have to lie to make your case, your case is ipso facto a lost cause.

It's boorish to accuse people of lying when different understandings may be the issue.

Anyway, here's what you said:

Here is the quote: “I’m not voting for Donald Trump. Period. … These bully, dirty tricks, Nixonian tactics, they’re only going to backfire. So, count me as never Trump,” Levin said.

Period means period, and neverTrump means neverTrump. Since you’re not Mark Levin, your impressions don’t cancel his direct statements. Link me to a quote where he says he’s reneged on his neverTrump commitment, or stop wasting my time.

I take that as your statement that Levin wasn't going to endorse Trump. That's a conclusion a lot of people would draw from what you wrote. You clearly indicated that you thought Levin wouldn't endorse Trump, and he did. Case closed. I'm not going to waste any more time on this.

Once again, if you have to totally misrepresent what a person said, you are in the wrong—flat wrong. I made no—zero—predictions about the future. I simply and accurately quoted what Levin had in fact said. The entire narrative that I was predicting the future started and ended in your own mind—and it was false.

Of course you’re done. You have no logical or rational leg to stand on, so retreat is your best option. I give you credit, though, for recognizing that you’re in a hole, and at least setting aside the shovel.

Since the discussion is over, I’ll leave you with this thought. If a person makes an absolute statement, it’s up to them and no one else to modify it, if need be. For example, if I say I will never, ever, under any circumstances, travel to Mexico, then it’s up to me and me alone to renege on that commitment, should I so choose. You cannot renege for me; if it’s to happen, I must be the one to do it.

Think about that for a while. It’s the key to the entire discussion.

PS: it’s dishonest to accuse someone of saying something they didn’t say. You said I predicted Levin would not vote for Trump. Quibble all you like, but that is a completely untrue statement.
