The problem is dealing with non-English speaking people that cannot get a simple order right. No one of any age wants to deal with that.
I’m about thirty years older than the millennials and I hate dealing with people. Wish me luck on my next lottery draw.
I don’t find this difficult to understand at all.
I know very well most of them do. Well, I don’t really like “dealing” with them either so we’re even. They’re not all flaky little bastards but they’re that hashtag generation with their spotty little faces buried in their telephones
Don’t worry, millennials, you will be soon replaced by robots
Awwwwwwww! Poor widdle snowflakes. They are scared of people.
Maybe drive-throughs and regular restaurants need to create ‘safe spaces’ for the widdle darlings.
I am not a millennial (Generation X), and I have an aversion to dealing with people but it is a selective aversion.
I will use the ATM at the bank because it is faster. I still use the manned checkout at the grocery store but if I get the sullen, curt college kid again I think I will try the self-checkout. I like to order online for lots of things, because I avoid malls. I visit small cities and towns, and do my best not to go to large cities.
I’ll stop there.
Not the $15.00 minimum wage, screwed up teenagers.
Well, they’ve got to get out and about for their selfies. So, they just need to find employment that’s selfie-worthy. Good luck with that, for the majority.
Give the counter people ipads or the like . The millennial texts his/her order to the counter person that happens to be standing right in front of him/her.
That’s how millennials are used to ‘talking’ to others.
I watched my grandson and his girlfriend conversing via texting to each other at a ballgame. They were sitting next to each other.
There’s nothing like personal isolation to help boost an economy as well as people’s general moods!
I hate dealing with people, and did time in FF. We had a name for people like that: grill person. You put the people people on the counter and the non-people people in the grill, not a big deal if you make the schedule right.
Considering that people skills and pleasant manners have all but disappeared, and it’s difficult to blame them.
Society is in the sh*tter and it’s going down.
Hire hot chicks to take the orders, that will change everything.
Youthful foolishness makes tolerance a virtue I am unable to hold to. These so called millennial’s need a good cuff across their heads and a swift kick to their rear-ends and this pathetic attitude is a direct result of the ‘It takes a village’ mentality their liberalized parents adopted from the likes of Hillary Clinton.
I’m just the opposite - dumb or normal, I prefer to deal with a human and not the self-chckouts (swindle) or ATMS or any of the other robocrap.
I constantly have clerks coming up to me in grocery stores telling me I can use the self-serve instead of waiting in line. I told her I’d rather talk to a human, and anyway I won’t contribute to putting people out of work. She said I was putting her out. I told her she was running six stations, so five people bit the dust because of her.
I’m retired now and on the computer most of the day, surfing the world and enjoy a little banter with a human - even a teen.
No social skills whatsoever.
They’re busy with their noses buried in their phones.
