Give the counter people ipads or the like . The millennial texts his/her order to the counter person that happens to be standing right in front of him/her.
That’s how millennials are used to ‘talking’ to others.
I watched my grandson and his girlfriend conversing via texting to each other at a ballgame. They were sitting next to each other.
Good point, the order taker is no more used to receiving orders than the order giver is at giving them. Conflict.
Technology has made us into robot-zombies.
