MAYFIELD, KY -- At least two people have reported finding worms in food from McDonald's restaurants in two Kentucky communities.
Mayfield resident Madison Stephens tells WPSD-TV that she visited the local McDonald's on Sunday and purchased food for her and her 1-year-old son. She says that as she was about to bite into her hamburger, a live worm fell out.
At the McDonald's in Draffenville, about 25 miles away from Mayfield, Lacey Jo Lovett says she also found a worm in her burger on Tuesday.

Unless it was put in there by an employee, at the same time they put it on the bun.
Depending on exactly which burger they ordered, it could also have been hiding in the lettuce.

I didn’t see anything in the article to suggest freezing or frying. This is horse country isn’t it?

IF the worms were actually MDs fault I would look at cleanliness issues. Else they were imports

Could the worms have been in something other than the burger meat. Buns? Lettuce?

I don't know why ABC network publishes this without . . . aaahhh, it's collusion. The
second one in a nearby MickeyDees IS the sufficient confirmation for ABC. Hmmmm.
I think it was Mark Twain who said that a lie would circle the world before the truth even got its britches on. Sad for MacD . . . hot coffee story, resurrection of the old worm meme in new clothes.

Class of ‘74 here, paper hat days. They are much more automated now, but a live worm won’t survive the cooking process.

Did the worms come from the meat or some other source such
as bread, tomato, etc. or workers?
