What is Your Second Favorite Country - After America?

Eastern European nations happen to be the countries that are the strongest defenders of Western Christian civilization. Having lived under communism, these people can see through the communistic system of political correctness that has taken over Western Europe. My favorite country, after America, is Poland. It is a very pro-family country, that elects pro-family politicians.

My favorite is America as it used to be, as recently as 1992. My second in Japan who elected to closely emulate that America rather than the current version.

Japan...I went there this summer and it had changed quite a bit from 10 years ago (Chinese and Korean tourists EVERYWHERE) but it was still the same beautiful Japan.

England. From that little, isolated island came some of the greatest ideas for law and government. They made it a lot easier for us to set up our own country.

I know many think England is on a downward spiral, but there is a spirit among the Englishman that isn't seen until their backs are to the wall. I'm watching "Churchill: The Wilderness Years," and I'm amazed at how England appeased the Germans right up to the invasion of Poland, yet they fought alone against Germany until we entered the war. Never count England out.

After America I’ll be going somewhere to die. My heart is here and I won’t leave. I’ll fight, physically, to my dying breath.

I do, however, have a young daughter who needs to live with a father. So it’s always been tough. Fight or Flight.

if I left I would have to get some sort of group together. Go to Turkey and buy a $20,000 research vessel. Load about 10 families together and head to Patagonia, Aleutian Islands or what have you.

I have an opportunity to “start all over” in Whitehorse right now. I was thinking about that.

None of these opportunities are the same as even a post-collapse America though. When you’re born somewhere, that’s where you are.

I admire Poland for the way that they brought themselves out of the tentacles of communism through the efforts of Lech Walesa. Sadly, however, the book ‘The Black Earth’ shows the depth that the European countries supported Hitler’s plan to exterminate the Jews - so they’ll forever have a black mark against them.

Italy. Family connections and I've been there a lot. Great history, wonderful people, beautiful country and architecture. And when you get to the sticks, the government seems small and far away.

Japan...

Ditto. For a nation run by centrist crony capitalists, it is both beautiful and efficient. If I were ever to go back, though, I would go to the left coast, somewhere like Matsue, Miyazu, or Kanazawa.
