A recent New York Times article noted that celebrity parents are favoring "post-gender" or "gender agnostic" names for their newborns. The piece cites examples like Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, who named their son "Journey," and Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, who named their second daughter "Delta" (their first daughter? "Lincoln").
"Gender-blurring baby names are on the rise among American parents," the article notes.
The old Boy Named Sue idea of a boy being shamed by having a girls name is passing away, Pamela Redmond Satran, a founder of the baby-naming website Nameberry, told the Times. Last December, Nameberry called "post-gender" names (that is, a name given to both boys and girls in roughly equal measure) the biggest trend for 2016. Today, boys named Tatum feel as cool as girls named Rory, and vice versa.

They already are destroying the bodies of children and adolescents with surgery and drugs.
Progressives: naming your son “Journey” or “Delta” will get his butt kicked repeatedly on the playground.
A group of us skipped school one day and went to downtown Pittsburgh to go up to the top of the Gulf building. We had to sign in. Everyone used funny names Jim Nasium, Peter Goesinya etc. Hubbard Booze used his real name and was denied admission.
I know. Somewhat rhetorical question, really.
Anyone remember the great sportswriter from the Washington Post, Shirley Povich?
He once explained that Shirley was a common man’s name in Maine, where he grew up. He was born in 1905 in Maine. So apparently it was common at that time and place.
Marian is the female version, isn’t it? And when has Delta been anything but a female name?
They DEMAND submission, just like Islam.
Fighting back is the only solution, just like with Islam.
I agree wholeheartedly. Here is my effort in fighting back: Defeating the Culture of Death: The Pro-Life Vote
Giving the kid a name should not be a political statement.
LOL!
Ironhead Gallon (real name) is playing football for Georgia Southern. I don’t think he had any “confusion” growing up. Other than. Should he be an OL or a DL.
I heard of a woman named Stanley. We are going to be cleaning up her mess for years to come.
That’s a true story. I bet he’s dead by now. I could probably find his obituary and post it. The guy was never right in the head and everybody said it was because of his mother. You give a guy a girl’s name and you’re going to put someone through a lot of pain because all throughout their whole life. It says everything you need to know about the mother.
The Left seem intent on confirming their idiocy on an hourly basis.
Reminds me of a trip I took to Ireland some time after the mad-cow disease thing forced farmers to destroy their cattle. I visited a farm and all the cows had number tags on their ears. The farmer told me that after having destroyed his former herd, he no longer called his cows by name; it was too emotionally difficult.
The totalitarian instinct is to kill off everything loving and empathetic within us. We can't even love our God-given gender, which is the Second Gift given us by Him after the First Gift, which is being made in His image as a child of God.
Wouldn't happen to be Stanley Steamer would it? lol
And that's why the totalitarians need to be smacked down and smacked down hard.
While I believe progressives have a right to be total annoying asses, (a lot of Americans suffered and or died for the right) I question whether they have the right to damage children with their foolishness.
“Marion is a traditional male name, just out of use.”
My father and grandfather were named Marion. My brother and I both dodged that bullet.
