Armed men have abducted at least 16 people from La Leche, an upmarket restaurant in a popular Mexican tourist destination. "I am in Puerto Vallarta heading the investigation into the kidnapping (that) occurred this morning," said Eduardo Almaguer, the state prosecutor on his Twitter account on Monday (15 August).
Initial reports, which have not been officially confirmed, stated that a group of armed men targeted around 20 people in La Leche restaurant and took some of them away in several vehicles.
Prosecutors in the western state of Jalisco said that two SUVs with several gunmen arrived at around 1am at the restaurant which is on the city's main boulevard, which runs through the hotel district.
Five vehicles were abandoned at La Leche and it is not yet known if they belonged to the victims or their abductors, according to an AP report.

Me and a buddy used to frequent a BBQ place called Huffmans in SD, we would go there packing and with the german shepard in the van, be polite, go peruse the Blues Cds at the place next door and down the road we go..
That reminds me when my car overheated near Halstead and 95th in Chicago. I got out to open the hood, and soon 20 people from the hood gathered around me. I always carried a gallon jug of Chicago water from my work place cuz water in burbs was bad. I quickly poured the cold water into the radiator and drove off to a gas station at Western & Kedzie. They installed a new V-belt and I was on my way home. Remember the good old days when many gas stations actually had a mechanic on hand?
Zika don’t scare me. I have no plans to get pregnant as a male in mid-70’s.
Was Lydia’s in IB? (I’ve never heard of one in Gilroy.) I’m thinking that I would have missed it since I was married at the time. I was living in IB while homeported in San Diego during the early 70s.
I’m sure Moose-limbs have nothing to do with this.

They just didn't want a worldwide news incident on their home turf so they took it outside.
My wife and I were a couple of 19 y/o kids from Ohio who moved to LA/Hollywood. I remember buying gas for 25 cents a gallon at a Philips 76 - the station with the big orange ball.
And on top of that, they gave away “Trading Stamps” as an incentive - sometime double stamps - to trade in on gifts and other junk..
I left Cal for Arizona 8 years ago......lol

Some places are safer than others. It all depends on your risk tolerance, your luck and if you care about your self.
