He’s a very good actor within a limited range. As a NYC tough guy, mobster, retired CIA guy, etc. He does well. Get him out of that comfort zone and he bombs. “The Mission” is a great film in spite of, rather than because of DeNiro. He was horribly miscast and Jeremy Irons had to carry the film over the finish line.

I like De Niro. Hes a great actor. I liked him a lot too. A shame he seems not to realize he alienates a large percentage of his fans when he vents his political views. You'd think he'd understand that we're his customers.
