We're seeing a lot of the same things around here we saw the last two losing election cycles and they all point to a loss...
"Celebration" of polls showing the GOP candidate losing by a small margin. When Drudge advertises "shock polls" that still show our guy losing and everyone on here is celebrating, even when these types of polls are amongst only a few showing it even close you know it's bad news.
Self appointed polling statisticians on here demanding polling internals and then applying their personal sauce to show the desired outcome. Saw the same thing.
The blame the media trope. Sure the media is biased as heck but the same thing happened the last two election cycles. Everyone here blamed bias and conspiracies for every polling result they didn't like and we saw how that ended up.
This isn't how winning teams act. We're in deep doo-doo.
But at least we’ll have the satisfaction later on of telling them, “I was told if I voted for Trump we’d have riots and get into an unwinnable war.....Well I voted for Trump, and darned if they weren’t right.”
(never seen anything like it...this far out)
Conclusion?

Keep in mind that a huge factor in the 1964 election was Kennedy’s assassination. There’s nothing comparable to that part of it this time around.

Romney got more votes than McCain and Obama had 5 million less than in 2008 and Romney still got beat like a tied up goat. What more of a turnout was expected ?
Romney had no fight whatsoever. He took a dive. He threw it away.
Romney did his job, he stopped a conservative from getting the GOP nomination.

Your words are falling on deaf ears. Most folks here have convinced themselves that winning hinges on simply believing and if you just believe hard enough… Sure...keep fighting as hard as you can for as long as you can to defeat Shrillary….but at some point you gotta prepare yourself based upon what the evidence and logic show are the most likely. Clinging to what you want to believe in without facts is what liberals do.
Yes, anything can still happen, but the conservative community does itself no favors plugging its ears, and continuing to pretend that everything is all roses and dandelions and that Trump’s lead grows 10 points every day and all evidence to the contrary is a conspiracy and to stay the course no matter what. Yes the media is automatically against the right, and conservatives are judged by a much harsher standards. But we can’t complain, we’re not one of the left’s pets, all we can do, what we need to do is step up our game. Never give up the fight but fight with strategy, logic, and cunning not by burying your head in the sand like an ostrich.
I do think there needs to be a contingency plan for Trump and his followers to leave the GOP and start a new Party, should the GOPe succeed in taking down Trump. They will not be rewarded for their treason.
And we didn’t give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!
I too believe the GOP has been horrible to Trump. However I believe no man should be above criticism and Trump has made mistakes too, and fair analysis of this should be allowed. Regardless at least here, we can all agree that the biggest mistake by far in this election is Her Royal Highness on the other side.
