They don't know or value what Freedom is.
Common Core . . .the dumbing down of America. We are seeing the results of implementation.
American History WILLIAM FEDERER should be one of DONALD TRUMPS advisors.
RE “..Why so many young people following Bernie?...”
Free sh*t versus actually having to WORK for a living.
Thats it in a nutshell.
He’s Santa Claus!
Second generation of entitlements coming on line now. They know nothing else, so why shouldn’t they vote to line their own pockets with others hard work.
Isn’t that the way the world has always been for them?
Communism has been subtly taught in most publlc schools since the ‘70’s, but especially in the last 20 years.......
Why do you think the Dems and Bernie get so much support?
Until there is a solution for the brainwashing done by our education system, there is no hope for our nation.......and it’s already too late to turn the tide.......
Public schools are Satan’s American masterpiece.
Common core? Read on!

Young people are following Bernie because the United States is on its 3rd or 4th generation now where bread and circuses have been funded by a fiat unbacked currency, manipulated interest rates, and massive debt, courtesy of the Federal Reserve.
Such a system naturally benefits insiders who can gain massive wealth, so they see that - but above all, massive debt ($20 Trillion an counting) also promotes the nanny state, progressive government and its ideologues as the answer to all of life’s problems
The teachers and curricula are overwhelmingly left and Marxist and teach a Marxist anti_American worldview.
It predates Common Core.
Communism was the curriculum when I was in school. And I graduated high school in 1994.
Every young adult thinks that the world’s problems can be solved if we all cooperate and get along. It’s a good lesson to teach your kids.
It’s usually in their late 20s that that gets beaten out of them with a baseball bat.
I won’t say communism is in it outright.
The regular denunciations of capitalism, though, are part of the curriculum with a repeated refrain that it can only be tolerated if the state monitors and supervises capitalism or else the evil greedy people will hurt the average person.
So the more appropriate answer is - they’ve been conditioned to love socialism.
It isn’t helped that most of their history glosses over the founding, barely touches on the Civil War except to say whites are evil for black slavery but doesn’t discuss anyone else’s involvement like blacks owning blacks in Africa or Arabs owning blacks. Only goes into detail with the Great Depression and depicts socialism under FDR as saving the country and then the world by taking out evil nationalist Hitler.
Why are so many young people following Bernie?.
I believe it is because they have been taught that the Government owes them a living.
Although there are exceptions, many would say they are a bunch of spoiled no good for nothing brats.
I don`t think i want to hold my breath until it gets better as no one is going to volunteer to work if they can get by with out working.
I have been there and know that work used to be the only alternative to going hungry so i worked and after a few weeks of pick and shovel would you believe i actually started feeling like a Man.
A very good feeling to realize i could take care of my self.
Socialism will work for awhile but then what? due to socialism America is trillions of dollars in debt and so are the other socialist nations which are most of them.
A child should never go to bed hungry??? i know of several fat kids who need to go to bed hungry. but they won`t as long as they are pleased with the store bought prepared meals you give them.
The answer is to ask what the fundamental components of communism are.
Ultimately, the goal of communism is to control humans so they will serve the interests of the(ir) elites.
The ultimate goal of Common Core is to produce compliant workers who do not possess critical thinking skills and who do not know their history and do not possess any national pride. This enables the elites to control them better.
Looking at it that way the goals of Communism and Common Core are very closely aligned. Both are very bad for a free people.
When I went to school in Florida it was still mandatory to teach “Americanism vs Communism”.
How things have changed.
The majority of Bernie youth grew up with participation trophies, have been told that the excellence of others is their own accomplishment and then exposed to the horror of high school and discrimination in college where instructors aren’t buddies and dare to be critical of their work.
They got ‘free’ loans which food, lodging, and whatever else they could convince the book store to charge to the student account are given away.
Now they are looking for their first jobs, and no one’s offering them 85k a year jobs, parents are asking why they aren’t looking for another place to live, and friends who work at Starbucks are down to 10 hours a week.
Communism spreads like wildfire amongst such a population.
I believe communism IS part of Common Core, but that’s not exclusively why young people follow Bernie.
Being young people, they are full of ideals and dreams that the realities of life haven’t crushed yet. And that’s ok, and it’s normal. We were all young once, and they will be old someday, God willing.
Here’s the thing - the way they live now extends their childhoods well into their 30’s. No marriage, no kids, just ME ME ME.
No responsibilities, sex on demand, no brain required.
How a lot of them are living would be absolutely shameful in the past, but it’s accepted and condoned today and I’ll tell you why I think some of that is.
1) Money. Businesses and corporations encourage this behavior to an unGodly extent in order to keep these young fools self-absorbed and spending frivolously on themselves, for throw-away products. Once they get married the free spending dries up and Pampers takes over their budget.
2) Democrats love it because the longer these young fools stay young fools they will vote democrat. SO that’s why they push nonsense issues like free birth control while they’re agenda is really to set the ME on fire. Once they get married and have kids reality sets in and they begin to care about the future, not free birth control.
3) Satan. See above.
Short answer -— YES!!!
I rarely post mostly just lurk daily. Im on the leading edge of millennials so most of the people I have worked with and my cousins are in that group.
As a starter let me ask you two questions:
Would you deny your children (grandchildren) any inheritance (assuming they are socialist) and instead pass it onto someone (even if they arent a blood relative) that believes in the free market? Yes? No? Why not?
Would you finance families that believe in the free market to have additional children? Yes? No? Why not?
The ostracisation needed for a civil society is now considered a worse sin than murder. Just think about the long term consequences. Think of millennials as the result of answering both those questions as no. If you refuse to choose moral stability then dont be surprised by the results.
There are 5 distinct problems with millennials that lead them to Mr. Sanders. They exist, they are the root causes but taking the time to understand them might happen to one in a million that is my age.
1. Griggs versus Duke Power Company 401 US 424 (1971)
This court case essentially outlawed IQ based aptitude testing for jobs. It made the only arbitrator of skill any group that offers a degree. The result is a college structure that holds keys (degrees) which can be priced at any rate. They are not regulated by the free market in any meaningful sense and this court case makes them essentially the only neutral party which government protects from legal action in the realm of proficiency judgement. Currently colleges function much like a guild. The ability to take a chance on a gifted individual (IQ or aptitude test) is essentially illegal. This means for most millennials that a degree is mandatory. The accompanying debt also becomes mandatory. The current system reminds me of guilds (college) protected by a monarch (government).
College/Certifications arent voluntary anymore. Try getting a decent job without one. Not happening.
2. Mandatory Spending
The levels of mandatory spending required of millennials are factors greater than previous generations. Last year working for a major company I made 26K. Of that I paid 5k in taxes and FICA. With Obamacare in place my company paid an additional 12.8k on their side for my health insurance. So my total compensation of 37.8K I got to take home 21k. A little over 54%. Factor in local tax (sales, property, fees, mandatory insurance) and maybe I get 50% of every dollar that could be paid to me.
Think of it as the frog in the pot. If you look at my parents generation car/health insurance wasnt mandatory. Those that complain generally had enough time to gain a strong financial base where there was less mandatory spending. Millennials with the mandatory student debt immediately lose 50% of their gross income. They are like frogs thrown in a boiling pot.
3. Inflation + Labor Expansion + Capital Accumulation
Nixon decoupled the dollar from gold in August 1971. The resulting inflation in the past 55 years is staggering. I look at it as a simple function of gold. Even as a scarce resource the climb of gold from
$35 to $1239 (as high as 1800, bottom at 350) a troy ounce is frightening. This means the dollars real buying power currently is about 3% of that in 1971. There is a secondary chilling effect that with such high inflation, only individuals in good jobs have enough free wages to participate meaningfully in government.
The sexual revolution in the long term has also devastated real wages. I dont begrudge anyone that wants to enter the labor force but the sheer number of women (in western countries) in the labor pool degrades the minimum wage you need to pay. The devaluation of mothering and raising children has reached a point where many on the leading edge of millennials will never breed. If you look at the original Labor Day protests to stop seventy-two hour work weeks are they any different than two people working forty each?
The ability for millennials (with a giant bag of student debt) to start a business (other than internet based) is fundamentally nil. Without a solid capital accumulation method you delay entrepreneurship reducing overall economic activity. Then you slap massive taxation and regulation on it. Good luck.
4. Replacement Rate > 2.1
The real effect is the combination of high mandatory spending, high inflation, and student debt is that semi-intelligent people dont have children. They understand that they cant afford another mouth to feed. I know several 110+ IQ people that arent going to have children (either economically or for selfish reasons). I didnt have children until I felt economically stable myself.
The end effect is that when our generation, thirty years from now, needs high intelligence professional services the will probably be so premium priced they will be unaffordable.
5. Public Education
Public schools at this point provide little more than compliance indoctrination. This indoctrination has one additional critical component in that education is administered with brute force destroying the natural curiosity of the general population. Will millennials pick up a single historic document? Will they be terrified of political or religious discussions at work? Can they argue without getting furious? Public education has become most adept at this particular feature, curiosity destruction, because with the availability of knowledge from explosive internet growth during the last twenty years the common man now poses a grave threat to the oligarchs.
They inherently feel something is wrong with the system of government. The curiosity to understand it has been beaten out of most millennials. So when Mr. Sanders offers first aid remedies to deep economic wounds they listen and support.
Closing:
For the tiny fraction, of my generation, who are informed can we even discuss it? Will I get fired? What happens if I oppose LBQT in general because I think its a net economic negative? What happens if I prefer slavery over capital punishment? What if I think there should be mandatory abortion for unwed mothers?
We are on the path to soft tyranny, civil discussion is dead, and in truth I would have rather been playing video games then writing this reply.
Carter.
