Okay, have an idea for a 10 team Fantasy NFL Football League where the Team Managers pick player only from their home and/or favorite teams. That is two teams--

Examples:

I pick ONLY from my Cowboys or the Houston Texans--

Old big pick only from his Packers or Patriots--

Seven picks from her Raiders and/or Rams, 9ers, whatever--

If you are interested and will play to this rule, let me know via FR Mail.

Okay, teams taken so far are:

Cowboys/Texans - Me

Packers/Patriots - big’ol_freeper

Atlanta/Arizona - Wingnut

I’d like to play but I don’t know how.

Pick two of the remaining NFL teams, then on draft day you can only pick from players from those two teams.

Then we play head to head during the season, the four leading teams get in the playoff and one will win the whole shebang!

If you will stay for the whole season, pick your teams. When we get 10 teams, I set up the league and notify you.

If you don’t plan on going the whole nine yards, then don’t get into the league. It is a bummer to have guys drop out.

It can be fun even if you get beat every game—

Alas, my two favorite/home teams are the Baltimore Ravens and the New Orleans Saints, so my tea leaves for victory look bleak. I’ll just have to be a Fantasy Spectator.

Let me tell you my position on said “fantasy” football, and I think you may find some agreement.

The money involved in fantasy leagues may soon surpass the Vegas books. EVERY network that carries NFL provides, in a primary fashion, the player results (witness the chyron of the day’s “leaders” in specific categories). It is frustrating.

Out here in W-TX, I don’t get to see my Lions that often but when I tune into FOX/NBC/CBS/ESPN on Sunday afternoon, I’d rather they just update me with scores from around the NFL. I’m not really interested in whether Drew Brees has more fantasy points than Matt Stafford.

My opinion, being stated, will finish with, I will not be part of your fantasy group since my Teams would have been the Detroit Lions and The Minnesota Twins (I’m a big fan of Rod Carew and Kirby Puckett!). Sorry, I meant the Packers...but BOF has them.
