I think you summed it up. My family and my friends all know that I am a politics/news geek, yet they are shocked when I tell them that I never watch television news at all. Television news is worse than useless because it gives a impression of a story - any story, that bears no relation to the truth.

That’s being put out by the international mass media. That one of the killers was a German who shouted Alluh Ahkbar or whatever. Which is like saying the Orlando shooter was an American member of the Rotary Club.
