Two parents in South Carolina knew something wasnt right when their normally mild mannered and playful dog started acting strange toward the babysitter they hired to watch their infant son.
Their dogs behavior eventually led to the babysitter being convicted of abusing that same child.

I *dare* someone to kick my Dobes.
They have a high sense of ‘fair play’ and will not suffer anything they believe to be beyond reasonable, -earned- correction.
And they *will* “repay” with extreme prejudice.
One of Obama’s sons thought to lip off to me at Staples last year.
He stepped forward and opened his mouth to rant and instantly, Seven ‘stepped forward’ and ‘opened her mouth’, too.

One errant kick can cause a dog to bleed out internally.
This thread is pissing me off.
Sometimes, FReepers inadvertently offer us disturbingly dark glimpses into their very souls.
I keep a mental list.
I’ve fought with dogs but it’s when they’ve been attached to me by their teeth.

I used to have a Germany Shepherd that would have died protecting my daughter. We had to lock her up when we were trying to put a band aide on a cut my daughter had on her knee.
One day when my daughter was about 10 she came home from school and the front door was ajar. She thought someone had broken in and was afraid to enter the house. She went and got our neighbor. As soon as the neighbor started to open the door, all she saw was teeth and attitude. She slammed the door closed and said, “Jennifer, trust me. No one is in your house.”
Interesting... I forget where I heard it, but the explanation I heard for why Muslims and Dogs don’t mix was something about Mad Mo being demon-possessed while scribbling out the koran, and could not finish his koranic dictations because the dogs would sense the evil and start barking and snarling; therefore he pronounced dogs to be be evil and not allowed, in order that his ‘messengers’ would return to his house.
That mighta been it!
^5 on that.
I feel the same way, have had a dog in my life since an aunt gave me a dog when my Dad died when I was 4.
I am leary of people who do not like dogs or animals.
I am also leary of people who do not like their Mothers.
Just me.
Come to my house; try to kick one of my dogs.
GET A 12 GAUGE UP YOUR ASS.
PS: I have lots of places to hide the body.
