A bad miscalculation. He was booed off stage.

It is the Ted and his ego above country show.
To: MeneMeneTekelUpharsin
It isn’t even good strategy when you alienate most of your own base by your self-centered actions.

It’s no good if Cruz has to ruin his brand to achieve it. Which he has done. And it will be to no avail.

This is sure fire way to loose any support you have left. Ronny didn’t win the nomination his first time. It’s time to man up.
Now Ted will have to campaign for Trump nonstop to redeem himself.

My grandchildrens' future cannot wait for Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz to realize their ambition in order to enjoy freedom, opportunity, life, Creator-endowed rights, and their "pursuit of happiness" in this land of their forefathers.
"The world is different now. . . And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forefathers fought are still at issue around the globe--the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state but from the hand of God." - John F. Kennedy, 1961 Inaugural

Ted is not very bright. Obviously.
To: MeneMeneTekelUpharsin
Dingbat Ted won’t make it through Republican primary. He likely won’t win any decent primary challenge in 2018.
To: MeneMeneTekelUpharsin
Except it will be “... and people will blame Cruz” bank on it.

He may make sure Clinton wins but he’s pretty well killed any chance that people will be ready for Cruz in 2020.
To: MeneMeneTekelUpharsin
He’s an idiot if he thinks that.

If Hillary wins I will blame Cruz (in part). I will not be looking to this non-NBC Constitutional hypocrite to rescue us.

Good strategy, but not good for the country.
I pray that it was personal, and not a strategy, as that would make his fault anger or pride, but not malice.
Someone, I forget who (maybe Pat Buchanan), wrote a column demonstrating that those who stuck with Goldwater reaped dividends later, Nixon in particular. Those who jumped ship or attacked Goldwater politically disappeared (Scranton, Romney Sr., Rockefeller was appointed VP in the wake of Agnew/Watergate, but had to be dropped from the '76 ticket).

What about the Supreme Court nominees that Hillary will nominate? 2020 will be to late. Cruz needs to worry about 2018.
