In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
Megillah, Megilla
b.a lengthy and tediously complicated situation or matter.
2. Hebrew. a scroll, especially one containing the Book of Esther. Others are the Book of Ecclesiastes, the Song of Solomon, the Book of Ruth, and the Book of Lamentations.
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

For sure.
I also think it was a calculated move by Cruz - now he stays relevant for the next for months while those around Trump keep talking to him asking for support before the election.
A question for you: are the protesters really much of a threat? The Cleveland Police Chief made it sound like there were more reporters to deal with than protesters... lol
It’s been peaceful.
I think there have been 23 arrests so far.
And not only are there more reporters, there are more cops and other men in uniforms than there are protesters.
Cruz, I think, is playing for 2020 either to primary the president or have a shot at the open seat.
I feel bad for Mike Pence, it was supposed to be his day and it started with the Kasich people talking about how there guy could have been VP and then Ted Cruz sucks all the oxygen out of the room with his speech.
Four months. I laugh and tell them without a goal it would be 14 months so dream BIG! LOL
I have been very impressed by the police presence as well as their unbelievable reserve! If someone sprayed urine on me they would be bleeding...I probably would be beaten to death in the process, but I would be sure they had some blood on them of their own! lol (That is my way of saying I’m not very tough but at least I try...)
Honestly I don’t think anyone really expected Cruz to support him. But as my son pointed out - the Melania speech would have been forgotten by the following morning, but here we are, days later, still seeing posts about it and hearing the pundits talk about it. Perhaps the appearance of Cruz wasn’t so much a mistake by Trump as a guarantee that a lot of people would watch. He is nothing if not a master showman!
What type of restaurant is it?
I can’t understand why they made such a megillah over this crappy film:

I’m not interested in it. A++++
When I fed my cats this morning I was about to put food in a bowl for Yeti boy-after more than 12 years, it has become a habit-Titus and Midget girl were looking around for him at dinner time last night as well as this morning-obviously, they miss him, too...
Ted Cruz’s megillah speech
Seemed really out of place-
He was pouting and selfish
Just because he lost the race
He should have been gracious
Like he promised he would do-
But he’s too much like Kasich
Who is somewhere pouting too...
Ted bitches about mud slinging
But his dirty tricks came first
And having Beck as a cheerleader
Really makes him look the worst...
We were talking about Ted’s reveal of who he really is at work this morning-we all thought he has committed political
suicide in a very public way with his lack of honor and his dishonesty-what an ass****-he won’t ever get another campaign dollar from us, and we will try to get him primaried in 2018-he should start looking for office space, set up as an attorney again and maybe actually do something for someone other than his precious self...
I think Cruz badly miscalculated his appeal and power-and he tripped over his ego in the process-he acted like a f***ing jerk. He has obviously been hanging around that lunatic Beck too long...
Wow, that’s from Texan’s viewpoint. Rush has been down on him today.....guess I will have to watch the vid and see for myself. A++++ What happened to Yeti boy?
Last Saturday night our usher took sick at mass and I helped on the scene. He died this morning. Very sad here. Yesterday our county fire coordinator was working on a fire tower when he was struck by a car and killed. Both my church and fire families are in mourning. Rough week.
Thank you! I’m sorry to hear of two people meeting such an untimely demise-what went amiss with the church usher?
Yeti boy died in his sleep yesterday-he was around 19-he wasn’t ill-just tired I guess...
How exciting! That table is very pretty
That is terrible Tioga! I’m so sorry for you
There was quite a scene at church. First he was speaking incoherently to his wife, then he seemed to collapse and we had to open his airway, then he fought us from a lack of oxygen. His right arm was posturing to the core, decorticate. He was 97 and still head usher at that mass. Wonderful man and example to us all. Wife and 9 children, many grandchildren. He had a good life.
Sorry to hear about Yeti boy, he had a long, good life, too.
