Did anybody else watch Laura Ingraham deliver her TERRIFIC speech at the convention on Fox News? If you did, you probably wanted to pull an Elvis on your TV set when for some BIZARRE reason, Fox News cut from the middle of Ingraham's speech to go to a rather mundane Talking Points Memo presented by Bill O'Reilly.
It was jaw-dropping how STUPID it was to do this especially since Laura is a regular contributor to Fox News. WHY? Can anybody out there give a rational reason for such a DOPEY decision?
Fortunately I was able to watch the full speech unfiltered on CSPAN but I still can't get over why in the middle of such an incredible speech, they pulled away from it.
Yes, I quickly found another station. Who the hell wants to hear blowhard O’Reilly when Laura is speaking?! She was excellent! I swear if I were single, rich, and handsome she would be mine! :-)
Immediately switched to C-Span.

She is tough, well spoken, intelligent and attractive. If she were not making a fortune in the private sector, I’d like to see her as Trump’s press secretary or somewhere in his Cabinet.
C Span! The other stations are just hot air and they refuse to let the speakers be heard! What’s the point? They have a chance to be blabber mouths all year long. The real convention is only 4 days, and only a few hours a day at that.
The networks are just going on with their regular programs. The think if they show snippets that’s enough

Directv channel 347 is dedicated to the convention, no talking heads, no commercials and, unlike CSPAN is in HD.

every other speech interrupted or ignored.

I switched to C-SPAN when Laura Ingraham began to speak, so I missed whatever happened with O'Reilly and Montel Williams. Later on, Dennis Miller made a joke about Montel Williams walking out on him, too. I didn't understand why he said that at the time.
Grand slam by Laura Ingraham! Possibly the best speech of the convention so far!

Fox News is morphing into MSNBC now. The lefty Murdoch sons are taking over from the aged father and getting rid of Ailes and some other conservative lights. Hannity and OReilly won’t be kicked out terribly soon because they are the bread and butter. The emphases are changing, though.

Laura was really very good. A little practice and she could be phenomenal at this type of speaking.
The timing for this type of speech is a little different than talking on the radio or speaking at a rubber chicken dinner. It’s all about being in sync with audience response. You need to be careful not to talk too fast or step on the audience response.
She’s photogenic and looks good on television. The speech was well-written. I hope she looks at the tape and carefully reviews her performance with a view to doing more speeches of this kind.
One thing for sure, I am not going to watch the rat's convention.
