CUOMO: Who takes the fall for cribbing Michelle Obama's speech in 2008? Whose fault is that?
MANAFORT: Well, there's no cribbing of Michelle Obama's speech. These were common words and values that she cares about her family, that uh, that things like that. I mean, she was speaking in front of 35 million people last night - she knew that. I mean, to think that she would be cribbing Michelle Obama's words is crazy. I mean it's so, I mean once again, an example of a when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton how she seeks out to demean her and take her down. It's not going to work.
CUOMO: All I'm saying is the language is strikingly similar. I'm not making a big deal of it; I know everybody is talking about it this morning, but I don't think it's an allegation, it's not some suggestion without proof. I don't know why the campaign doesn't just own it and say people borrow phrases, that's what happened, and movie on? That's what, ironically, Obama did in 2008 when Clinton said he cribbed from Deval Patrick. He said, "Yeah, you're right, I did it."
MANAFORT: No, no he did do it. That's correct. But in this particular case, you know, there was a process certainly of collaboration that.. Certainly there's no feeling on her part that she did it. You know, what she did was use words that are common words, and to expect her to, to think that she would do something like that knowing how scrutinized her speech was going to be last night, is just really absurd.
CUOMO: Right, but again, that's assuming that it was Melania. I'm assuming that there were writers involved, but if that's the way you want to explain it, that's up to you. Let me ask you about something else.
Silly. What this tells me was her speech was even more awesome than I thought. If this is the response, promote the speechwriter.
Americans HEARD the speech. Nobody hears the media chirping about a word they aren’t even spelling correctly on Twitter.
For the record, multiple articles were posted on FR last night on this with hundreds of posts. It is on every news outlet. I was posting the campaign manager’s response. It’s news whether you like it or not. For the record, there are FReepers here who do think this speech was plagiarized either by a careless speech writer or saboteur. I have discussed multiple possibilities. I am hard pressed to think of anyone who has blamed Melania.
Media = The Enemy. Period.
It is sad to see their campaign lying about this. This is what makes people mad. We want people to take responsibility for their mistakes. Not lie and make excuses.
Anyone with a brain knows this was stolen. Okay, who cares. Just admit it and we can move on.
Lying about it is what Hillary would do. I am disappointed to see they can’t even take responsibility for something small.

I have a group of posters who are accusing me of being something that I am not. It’s actually very upsetting to me because it isn’t true. I post for Trump all the time on here, have a pro-Trump twitter account, and have seen almost every Trump rally. I didn’t write the title, by the way or even really pay attention to it. I wanted to find video on Youtube and used the video user’s title because I was using his video.

I would have to see the written side-by-side transcripts to be able to judge. One would hope a Trump campaign speech writer would not have plagiarized from an enemy speech. I would have to see the evidence to believe it.

I posted this as a response to articles posted last night. This was big news this morning. If it’s a nothing burger, why are you so upset and insulting me for posting it? Did you even read post one or just look at the title? I wasn’t even upset in my post. That’s why I’m confused that you told me to calm down when I wasn’t upset in the first place.
