As far as the cops are concerned they need to use their heads instead of their stupid egos.
If i saw a 280 pound giant walking in the street i may ask him to get out of the street but if he did not want to i would drive on.
A lot of this crazy stuff happens because cops do not know when to leave well enough alone.
This sounds a lot like a reference to Officer Darren Wilson’s interactions with “Gentle Giant” Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO. What exactly are you saying here? That when Wilson ordered Brown to get out of the middle of the street, and Brown defied the order, Wilson should have just “left well enough alone” and went on his way?

yES, that is what i mean, the idiot might hve gotten run over but that would not make me lose much sleep considering he is old enough to know that.
But forcing the issue and then finding i was not man enough to do the job with out killing the guy would make me lose sleep.
