Really, what is the purpose of all this shoving transgender down people’s throats? It seems to be issue number one in this country and there has to be something behind it. Anyone have an idea of what the motivation really is?
A legitimate question since that motivation is presently driving our "betters".
IMO, it is part of a full court press to "transform" society's structure; in this case, negatively as in to weaken and destroy.
We need only bear in mind that there are those in positions of authority who truly believe, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that our Constitution is fundamentally flawed.
They announced that motivation and intent at the outset but not enough of us were listening.

About 10 years ago, author Theodore Dalyrimple gave what I think is the most cogent, logical explanation I've heard--though he was not even addressing the issue of transgenders specifically. He was making a point about political correctness. I think it's a spot on diagnosis for the motivation behind the left's Alice in Wonderland LGBTQXYZ agenda.
"In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, nor to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is to co-operate with evil, and in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. Every aspect of their sex and gender campaign --- lesbianism, buggery, transsexualism, contraception, sterilization, abortion, gender confusion, LGBT-WTF, gay adoption, surrogacy, even no-fault divorce--- all centers on de-norming normal mating, procreation, and family-formation.
They want to de-center and minimize natural reproductive behavior and family bonding, maximize everything that is sterile, and erode what used to be a nigh-universal culture of stable natural family formation.
And why? WHY?? Because they want to crater the human population (humans are bad for Earth). Yes. And destroy the family (and the Church) as the basic structures that stand between the isolated individual and the Leviathan State.

It is medical malpractice for surgeon to do surgery which he believes is medically unnecessary AND which, on the basis of his professional training and experience, he believes to be gravely and possibly permanently harmful to the patient.
It is also unethical to the highest degree to deliberately and with direct intention mutilate another person's healthy, normal genital organs, even at their persistent request.
And it is government oppression in a historically Nazi-like mode to force unwilling doctors to practice anti-medicine: to perform procedures known to result in reproductive incapacity or sterility.
Obama and his gang are engaged in truly horrible things --- but they're so smooth, they get right past most people's radar.
May the Lord rebuke him. That's all I can say.
