Doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies may soon face lawsuits for treating male and female patients according to their biological sex, thanks to a health care rule finalized in May as part of the Affordable Care Act.
On the same day President Barack Obama announced his controversial transgender school bathroom policy last month, a somewhat more sinister mandate was finalized by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) with consequences for health care providers, insurance companies, and American taxpayers.
The rule contains an explicit definition of gender identity that states a person can claim to be male, female, neither, both, or some combination of the two, said Roger Severino, director of the DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society at the Heritage Foundation.
“It’s now federal policy that you could be both male and female in some combination,” he said. “That’s a pretty radical statement, and impossible to know what it really means.”

About 10 years ago, author Theodore Dalyrimple gave what I think is the most cogent, logical explanation I've heard--though he was not even addressing the issue of transgenders specifically. He was making a point about political correctness. I think it's a spot on diagnosis for the motivation behind the left's Alice in Wonderland LGBTQXYZ agenda.

After reading your post, I examined my OWN inner feelings and past responses to THE sexuality issues. Sadly, I have somewhat “succumbed” to political correctness ( through silence) from time to time, inorder to not appear to be too rigid in acceptance of other lifestyles, thus I would be “humiliated” by expressing my opposition to what I believe is deviant behavior. My daughter in law and I recently had a discussion, in that I was watching a tv show with my grandkids, a Disney (teenage targeted program with the promotion of homosexuality.) I immediately made my gkids change the channel. Later I mentioned it to my DIL and told her how shocked I was and sorry I wasn’t more careful as to what they were watching. She informed me that she and my son had already had this conversation with the kids(ages 13, 11, and 9) and that they were aware of the different gender options and that it was okay. I was sick to my stomach, but said nothing. So there it is, I was humiliated.

Every aspect of their sex and gender campaign --- lesbianism, buggery, transsexualism, contraception, sterilization, abortion, gender confusion, LGBT-WTF, gay adoption, surrogacy, even no-fault divorce--- all centers on de-norming normal mating, procreation, and family-formation.
They want to de-center and minimize natural reproductive behavior and family bonding, maximize everything that is sterile, and erode what used to be a nigh-universal culture of stable natural family formation.
And why? WHY?? Because they want to crater the human population (humans are bad for Earth). Yes. And destroy the family (and the Church) as the basic structures that stand between the isolated individual and the Leviathan State.

It is medical malpractice for surgeon to do surgery which he believes is medically unnecessary AND which, on the basis of his professional training and experience, he believes to be gravely and possibly permanently harmful to the patient.
It is also unethical to the highest degree to deliberately and with direct intention mutilate another person's healthy, normal genital organs, even at their persistent request.
And it is government oppression in a historically Nazi-like mode to force unwilling doctors to practice anti-medicine: to perform procedures known to result in reproductive incapacity or sterility.
Obama and his gang are engaged in truly horrible things --- but they're so smooth, they get right past most people's radar.
May the Lord rebuke him. That's all I can say.
