PHOENIX (KPHO/KTVK) - A Phoenix man was arrested after police say he was found in bed naked with an 11-year-old girl early Monday morning.
According to court documents, Anthony Mitchell, 27, met the victim online and talked on a website. She reportedly told him that she was 26 years old.
The victim invited Mitchell to her apartment and police said they had sex.
Officers said the victim's father arrived home and found Mitchell naked in bed with his daughter. She was partially clothed. He restrained Mitchell until officers arrived.
Court documents said Mitchell told officers he thought the girl was 16 years old. Later, he allegedly said he knew the victim wasn't 26 years old but thought she was at least 18 years old.
Mitchell faces two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of sexual abuse.
Yes, this is a big problem in my opinion, that our culture has become so sexually obsessed.
11 year olds thinking it’s ok or cool to go out and meet adult men, and get sexual with them???? Unbelievable to me. Then again, I was raised in a different time. Sometimes I feel I was raised in a different time and a different culture.
I can’t imagine the father just restraining him.
My niece is being call a lesbian by TWELVE year old boys and girls at school because she and another girl hang around together and are the only two that dont date or make out yet.
12!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dang, my daughter is almost 11. I can’t even imagine. There’s no way in heck she even thinks like this.
I can't even imagine. We haven't heard the rest of this story.
Too bad the Father didn’t have a gun...
Probably not the first time for the girl...and not the last. I would imagine that she and the local health clinic will have a long friendship.
Not surprising. That’s how it was many years ago when I was that age. The difference between then and now is that we were all talk, nobody was actually doing anything.
My 12 year old nephew came home from school one day and told his Mother that a certain girl at school told him that she wanted to give him a BJ. The young boy says to his mom as she attempts to keep a neutral look on her face, “I don’t know what that is, but it doesn’t sound good”. The Father, with much less emotional control that Mom, busts a gut and is physically accosted by his wife but he can’t quit laughing. He was in trouble for days.
Really? I knew I wanted to touch girls at 12 but wasn’t allowed :), but I had NO IDEA what a lesbian was.
If Dad capped him, I suspect the daughter would rat him out.
I had no idea what a lesbian was at age 12 either.
I don’t know if I was too sheltered, but I didn’t even know what oral sex was until I was an adult.
Pornography is so explicit and widespread nowadays. That’s certainly part of this.
In my day, Playboy didn’t even show “full frontal”. Certain parts were strategically hidden. And there were no depictions of actual sexual activity with a man in such magazines back then. Nowadays, every conceivable sex act is out on the internet. Kids today are growing up in a very differnet world.
You might want to drive by a junior high school one of these days or go to a shopping area and do some people watching. Girls are so sexualized and much more physically developed now than they were even when my kids were in school. Very, very scary times.
Well the NYC gals were kind of fast, to be kind, so by 16 a guy knew what everything was here.
But now they know at TWELVE what we knew at 16!!
I’m sorry. I’m wrong. We didn’t know everything, as per the article on FR today about adults who like to live as babies. And we didn’t know bestiality or S&M, which I think are all now required courses in kindergarten under obama.
Dems and Hollywood want to make the kids as SICK and VILE as them.
I WAS raised in a different time and, so it seems, in a different universe.
It is still the responsibility of the parents to explain the facts of life to their kids and teach them right from wrong.
Nice garden! How'd you get it to grow so well?
Oh I would have Benn made, too. When it comes to my kids, I’m a prude.
