We did this ban federally once—no effect whatsoever other than to turn many Americans into criminals. We’ve had such a ban in Cal. for many years, and crime just continues to climb. The left knows it, they want the guns taken for a completely different reason, obviously.

The way Dems work is they get you to comply with your end of the bargain, and then they refuse to perform their end. So we would wind up with a permanent ban on semi-auto rifles, and a temporary halt to Muslim immigration, where they would find a compliant judge to find the immigration ban unconstitutional.
How about: we’ll entertain a discussion on a ban the day Obama and Holder voluntarily report to prison for arming the Mexican cartel.
How about, we will eliminate all restrictions on firearms and Obama is tried for treason.
