Donald Trump has announced he will meet with the NRA to discuss if people on the terrorist watch list or the no-fly list should be allowed to purchase guns, according to WIRED.
The NRAs executive director for its Institute for Legislative Action, Chris W. Cox, said the NRA has a strong opinion on this, according to CNN.
The NRAs position on this issue has not changed, Cox said. The NRA believes that terrorists should not be allowed to purchase or possess firearms, period. Anyone on a terror watchlist who tries to buy a gun should be thoroughly investigated by the FBI and the sale delayed while the investigation is ongoing.

But our Government can always be counted on to do the wrong thing so, why stop now?
It won't be "delayed," it will be prohibited, Chris, and you're going to wake up some fine morning and discover that _you_ are on the list as a "terrorist".
After this crap is passed, all pro gun bloggers and conservatives of any description will suddenly find themselves on the watch list.
‘Trumptards’??
Maybe you should just go post someplace else. This is an adult site.
(Thank you!)
Well, here is the nra statement about the “watch” list. You know the one that innocent people get placed on without their knowledge and no due process:

Unfortunately, the govt has no idea who is a terrorist. Well other than “right wing extremists” that is. Guess left wing extremists are okay. Oh, yeah. They bomb places and are responsible for the deaths of cops and then go on to be college professors. Sweet deal huh?
Brilliant strategy!!! I can’t think of any reason why a person who is listed the terrorist watch list should be legally purchasing a firearm. Very few people would have opposition to this proposal. I’m happy to see the NRA supports it. Takes the “common sense gun law idea” away from liberals and gives it to Trump.
Who’s watching the watchers?
So, you believe that someone on the terror watch list should be able to get the gun on the spot and then take a u-turn to the nearest theater to do his thing?
Try to remember that next time one of Trumps more enthusiastic supporters makes snide and childish remarks about former Republican presidential candidates.
Don’t try to ‘fix’ what the Founding Fathers wrote in the U.S. Constitution. Their wisdom comes from prayer and fasting and the battle scars for freedom.
And who are you voting for? Hillary? You may as well because having a temper tantrum and sitting the election out or voting third party is the same thing.
What happened to due process?
Drudge has a link up about how dhs fears right wing as much as muslims. And that will be the excuse. Probably put most on this site on the no gun list
Contact HSA to find out why ... no response. Asked how he can get off of it ... was told that if it was a mistake they will look into it.
With the politicization of the FBI, IRS, HSA, no one will be immune from being “identified” as an enemy of the State.
No Due Process, no recourse, no rights.
“Here’s the thing. If you put someone on a terrorist watch list and then bar them from purchasing a firearm, you give them an easy way to tell if they’re on a terrorist watch list or not.”

Great point. The grabbers will use this logic as a basis for denying sales to ALL people, on or off the lists.
How does one get on the list?
How does one get off the list?
I need to know these two questions before I have an a opinion.
Thank you.
So let me guess, this so called “terrorist watch list”
is a list of American gun owners. This is how it starts folks.
Divorce? Your name is on the list.
Overzealous law enforcement? Your name is on the list. Conservative? Your name is on the list.
White? Male? Your name is on the list.
