A caller said two subjects were operating four-wheelers in a public roadway and being extremely loud, according to a probable-cause statement filed by Jackson police officer Jason Wilhelm.
Wilhelm stated he saw two people in the roadway near 323 Greensferry Road in what appeared to be an accident with two John Deere riding lawn mowers.
They admitted they had been racing their lawn mowers when one of the mowers stopped functioning, Wilhelm wrote. They advised in an attempt to move the disabled lawn mower from the roadway, they had an accident.

Well, of course. Who would race a lawn mower sober?
It’s about how well you mow fast.
Kinda a harsh penalty.
Meanwhile today on the way to work I saw a bike rider pedaling away on a very busy 3 lane road taking up the right lane. No bike lane mind you but he made one because he is a superior being on a........ bicycle.
He also made $80 from mowing his neighbors lawns along the way
George Jones reincarnated?
Exactly right.
Its about how well you mow fast! ... ... LOL :)
We have those superior morons here. The hilliest windiest narrowest road in the county is the one I drive into town. They all think they're Lance Armstrong. You're coming up a hill and around a curve and blam! There's one struggling and wobbling right in line with your right tire. So you have to slam on the breaks and dodge around him into oncoming cars. Total idiots. They're worse than the deer.
Drunk riding mower racing at 1:30 am?
If this sounds like fun, you might be a redneck.
A few years back while I was staying at a high-end resort with my co-workers I tried to organize a “Golf cart” race.
It was 2 in the morning and we had all been drinking.
The resort had a dozen or more golf carts parked that were just asking to be abused.
I convinced a few guys on how easy it is to hot wire them and we proceeded to map out our race track and the rules.
Somewhere along the way the entire adventure was derailed and I still don’t know why.
Hold muh grass bagger!
Is that old No Show Jones?
