If you are a person who believes “tolerance” is enough, you are contributing to the problem. You don’t need to beat up an LGBTQ+ person to commit a hate crime or encourage another person to do so. If you misgender Caitlyn Jenner, say problematic and incorrect things about bathroom equality, cringe at the thought of gay affection, or use phrases like “no homo” or “that’s so gay” you are contributing to the culture that fostered this crime.

Christians do not want homosexual people murdered by hateful muslims. They don’t want anyone murdered by hateful muslims, or anyone else, for that matter.
Christians want homosexuals to turn away from homosexuality and seek God for healing, just like every other sinner. We want them to be saved, healed, and a testimony to God’s grace and power.
Oddly enough, we want the same thing for muslims. Turn away from the evil false religion of islam and turn to the one true God.

What I can’t stand is the presumptuous tone in this article. How dare he assume that the LGBTQ etc. community is the only group to stand up under this kind of discrimination. He blames the US for “lack of tolerance.” It’s America’s fault that those people were murdered. Christians are to blame. Etc.
There was a time when this kind of writing would’ve been viewed for what it is. Treason.
